2025.11.25, Part 1

11/26/2024 – 11/25/2025

Dear beloved friends & family,

In Sep 2011, The Blogworthy Report was launched as a daily journal that was integrated into Carla and Jim’s Camelot Journal.

In Dec, 2018, the report became a weekly publication inside of The Camelot Journal.

In Aug, 2019, it was first published independently as a weekly journal.

It held the weekly rhythm for some years but eventually became an irregularly published report occurring every couple/few months. But as the workload inexorably increased over time for our very small team, this effort, like the Law of One Podcast, fell to the wayside, its publication periodicity unknown even to the Creator.

Our last report was published exactly a year ago on November 25, 2024. It seems, thus, that this effort has evolved into a massive annual report.

What is this, you ask? Well, it is an incomplete but thorough record of a year’s worth of L/L Research activity. It is a narrative. A window. A bludgeon. And an excellent workout to boost patience and mental endurance.

Blessings to your coming journey,
The L/L Research Team

Primary Report Producer: Gary Bean
Significant Report Contributors: Austin Bridges, Trisha Bean, Joanna Burns

[Note: As a good portion of L/L Research’s work is cyclical and continuous, and as the main organizer of this tome is currently exhausted, maybe 7.5% of this report will include language recycled from the previous report, including some of this preamble.]

HIGHLIGHTS

Conducting channeling, publishing its corresponding material, and running a large library of cost-free information at LLResearch.org, including working with translators from around the globe, is L/L Research’s central service.

Secondarily, but still central, L/L Research hosts in-person gatherings. This section highlights those services, with more information about the stadium-sized sporting events, bah mitzvahs, and cooking classes we produce in the following sections.

Channeling Circles

Conducted in the sacred trust placed upon us by Confederation sources, one half of L/L Research’s principal service continues unabated. In May we completed the 2024–2025 season of the semi-monthly public meditations, and in September we launched the 2025–2026 season (with a few channelings in between).

In the past year we conducted and published 19 sessions altogether: some public meditations, some C/C circles, some gathering-specific channelings, some with green eggs n ham, with a couple Saturday Meditations in queue to be published as of this writing. To see the full list, scroll to the “Publishing” section below.

Gatherings

Outside of the afternoon- or evening-length public meditations that L/L has held since the 1960s, from the mid-90s onward, the Homecoming Gathering was L/L Research’s only in-person event where people gathered to form a sacred circle, save for a handful of random gatherings scattered over the years. That changed in…

  • 2018 with the launch of the Coming Home to a New Earth series in collaboration with our friends of the Asheville Law of One study group, L/L’s first retreat-style gathering.
  • And changed again in 2019 when Vojta, of the Czech translation team, proposed that we host our first international gathering, the Prague Law of One Gathering, conducted in collaboration with our friends of the Czech translation team.
  • And changed again in 2022 when our friend and German seeker, Daniel Hodapp, invited us to a small spiritual afternoon event in Berlin.
  • And changed again when, in 2024, we held two Coming Home to a New Earth Gatherings, one west and one east coast. (Scroll to the section “LAW OF ONE GATHERINGS” in last year’s post.)

This year, 2025, was our second round of five gatherings in a calendar year. It has become clear to us that we have hit the ceiling of our capability, at least at present levels of energy, resources, and staff. Meaning it is highly unlikely there will be a sixth gathering in a year.

There were a few significant changes in 2025:

  1. We launched a brand new event called the Law of One Contemplative Retreat that integrated aspects of a silent meditation retreat with Law of One study. (The event’s facilitators joined Nathan on his podcast “The Law of One & Spiritual Concepts” to reflect on the event.)
  2. Joining our friends of the Law of One Europe group, we expanded the Law of One Berlin Gathering from one to three days.
  3. Migrating from Jim’s quarter-acre suburban home for the first time since Homecoming’s launch in the mid-90s, we found a new home on a Kentucky farm for the Homecoming Gathering and expanded the circle to its largest size at 70 people.

In addition to those three, we also hosted/co-hosted:

  • The Prague Law of One Gathering with Vojta and Emilly.
  • The Coming Home to a New Earth Gathering outside of Seattle.

For an in-depth writeup + pictures, please visit the next post after this one. You can also see some short synopses on our Events page. To be notified of when registration opens for these events, please subscribe to our Gatherings Newsletter, or develop telepathy, whichever is more convenient for you.

Each event was profoundly inspiring and spiritual battery recharging. We love and feel familial bonds with the Law of One community so much. Many, many thanks to our collaborators who volunteer their love and efforts toward L/L Research and the gathered circle, and above all to everyone who shows up with hearts brilliant in their truth.

Ten Years

April 1, 2025, marked ten years since Carla passed into larger life. To honor her memory, Jim penned this article in his daily Camelot Journal. Through his words, we are invited to celebrate the spirit of his and our beloved other-self.

Carla’s gift of faith and radiance to the world would have been remarkable even if she had never served as the instrument for the Ra contact, but that she did remains a monument and testament to the purity of her heart and singular strength of her faith. Ra Contact: The Narrow-Band Beam of the Law of One explores Carla’s enormous bravery/foolhardiness in the name of love and service.

PUBLISHING & CREATIVE PROJECTS

Translations, which constitute a significant portion of our work, are shared in the section following this one.

Law of One Contemplation Deck

A couple of years ago, we were approached by the publisher of the Law of One books with an idea for a card deck based upon quotes from the material. Feeling it harmless and a potentially great service to the readership (we would personally love a card deck of Ra quotes), we accepted the proposal and commenced the work.

Springboarding from the core premise that the deck would serve as a tool to help seekers connect with the Law of One, we began the journey of amassing what we subjectively felt were the most inspirational or meaningful Ra quotes for contemplation. Then, the challenging if not sometimes outright painful part: narrowing that collection down to forty quotes, one for each of the 40 cards in the deck.

Accompanying the deck, we also created a booklet with an introduction from Jim, tips for using the deck, and full context for each card quote. Austin also authored brief spiritual reflections for each quote to help seed thoughts for contemplation, if desired by the seeker.

This past year we wrapped up the whole process of editing, designing, and proofing the final product. Their artists created art thematic with the 40th-anniversary Law of One Box Set editions. Much to our relief and joy, their designers created what we feel is a truly quality product. Last month we received a final printed set and were very impressed with the quality of the print and the material.

It is, of course, a secondary resource that is not intended to take the place of a direct, individual relationship with the material itself. But for those who may be served by such a resource, we are excited to be able to offer the Law of One Contemplation Deck. The deck will be released on November 28th, and will be available via Amazon.

A Concept Guide V2

We are happy to share that the first edition of the book A Concept Guide, printed in 2020, has evolved into the sound vibrational complex second edition.

The second edition contains 70 new pages in total, including the following new pieces and revisions:

  • A complete overhaul of the entries for “Ra” and “The Narrow-Band Beam,” doubling both in size. (A public presentation of the Narrow Band entry was made at L/L Research’s 2024 gatherings and is now available on L/L’s YouTube channel.)
  • New Author’s Notes, including: “The Metaphorical Crib,” “The Rhythm of Reality”, “Logos: The Foundation of Consciousness,” “Logos as the Prime Mover,” “On Universes & Galaxies,” “The Hint & the Hope,” “A Universal Message,” “The Interesting Peculiarities of a Confederation,” and the very serious “You are Competent at Viewing Pictures.”
  • A new sub-entry, “The Scroll of Livingness,” in the “Density” entry.
  • Updates to “Law of One,” “Catalyst,” “Energy Center Blockage,” “Confederation,” “Meditation,” and “Martyrdom.”
  • New Ra passages included across the book with accompanying new or refined footnotes, sentences, and paragraphs.

If interested, you can find printed and Kindle versions on the Amazon page. (As they always have, all proceeds from the sale of the book go to L/L Research.) And free PDF and e-reader versions on the Library site’s book page.

Many thanks to the volunteer transcribers who help get the recorded audio of the channelings into text form: Brandi, Donna, and Marian! And for the one who diligently converts each channeling into a PDF which we offer for download, many thanks to Tomas!

Podcasts and interviews

Jim Meditation Narration

Part of webdev Daniel’s collaboration with L/L Research includes a vision for a meditation app that will be closely related to Confederation philosophy and teaching. We are happy to share a new Guided Meditation for World Peace, narrated by Jim McCarty. This heartfelt guided practice invites you to cultivate inner peace and contribute to a collective vision of global unity.

Crucifixion of Esmerelda Sweetwater

As part of our continuing project to offer the material in various media, we are excited to announce the publishing of our ninth audiobook: The Crucifixion of Esmerelda Sweetwater.

Originally penned as a work of fiction, Carla said of the book:

“This novel is the first fruit of L/L Research, written in 1968, refined in 1969… The writing of it was like nothing that I have experienced before or since. Concepts and characters flowed with a clarity and precision onto the paper that I would have thought impossible.

In the years following, right up through 1984, many things that were written as fiction in The Crucifixion of Esmerelda Sweetwater seem to be echoed, sometimes quite closely, in the life of Don’s and my relationship, our partnership, and the work with our group.”

Lovingly narrated by L/L Research’s Jim McCarty, the audiobook of The Crucifixion of Esmerelda Sweetwater is available through Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. It can be listened to for free via Audible’s free trial program here.

New Brown Notebook Project

For those familiar with The Brown Notebook, a collection of channeled messages received between 1958 and 1960 through a fellow named Walt Rogers and his Detroit-based channeling group, its significance in L/L Research’s history is profound. It was the contents of this notebook, along with Don Elkins’s correspondence with Rogers and fellow channelers such as Hal Price and Clyde Trepanier, that inspired Don to begin experimenting with forming his own channeling group where he lived in Louisville, Kentucky.

We are pleased to share that this important archive is about to grow. A couple years ago we received additional historical channelings from Walt Rogers’ Detroit group which we carefully reviewed and documented over the past several months. The Brown Notebook has long been available online as part of L/L Research’s historical record, and we look forward to expanding that archive with these newly discovered materials as we prepare them for publication.

Will the Real Yahweh Please Stand Up?

After receiving various questions over the years from seekers asking for clarity on what Ra shared about Yahweh, we decided to create a simple study guide to help readers explore and better understand this topic, which can often be confusing for students of the Law of One. This guide will be available on the upcoming new-new website.

Newsletters

Since the last Blogworthy, we’ve sent four Light/Lines Newsletters, along with a handful of Gatherings newsletters. The latter contains announcements for future gatherings, but also updates on the goings on at L/L Research, or random sharing of inspiration to meet the collective moment.

Light/Lines:

Living the Law of One 102 and 103

Those that keep up with Jim’s Camelot Journal will be apprised of the journey he has undergone in authoring, editing, and even recording audiobooks for the final two installments the series that Carla began with Living the Law of One. In this past year we helped Jim through the editing process for 103, and recording the audiobook narration for both 102 and 103. The final versions should be available in 2026.

Kundalini: Inner Seeking Meets Cosmic Prana

Like the Ra Contact Narrow-Band video last year, at this year’s gatherings’ circuit, Gary turned a chapter of A Concept Guide into a presentation. About the meeting place of the upward- and downward-spiraling lights and that meeting place’s movement upward through spiritual evolution—aka: kundalini—this particular chapter is the largest in the book. And like last year, the presentation was filmed and is currently being edited for publication to L/L’s YouTube channel, with many advanced thanks to Joaquin. It should go live before 2025 is up.

TRANSLATIONS & TRANSLATORS

Translator’s Worked With

A year’s span is a long time to try to boot the memory and scan the archives to see where we’ve been. Sorry if we’ve forgotten any translators! If you are such an one, please let us know.

  • Bulgarian: Not much activity in this language save for helping Kirilina with the Bulgarian RC Unified Index.
  • Czech:
    • Completing a journey that began in Jan, 2016, Vojta, supported by various Czech translators over the years, completed the 106 sessions of The Ra Contact in the Czech language!
    • He also launched a gorgeous and well-organized new Czech website.
    • Lending support to Vojta to create a Czech-language cover art, Vojta published a printed version of the first volume of The Ra Contact in Czech!
    • Worked with Vojta to create a new Licensing Agreement to supersede the one signed in 2017.
    • And if the above were not enough, Vojta created “Gatherings.work”. (See Melodious Medley > Gatherings.work below.) Thank you, Vojta!
  • Dutch: Got underway with Ivo on the project to finnnally create a Dutch-language version of The Ra Contact. (Spoken of in previous Blogworthies, Dutch has had the longest journey of them all by far as it was the very first language the Law of One was ever translated into back in the late 80s/early 90s, but very poorly and incompletely. It has since had several champions who have not been able to follow through.) Ivo contributed the first ten sessions and the material necessary to create a Dutch Ra Contact page!
  • Farsi 1:
    • Some time ago, Meysam had completed a first translation of The Ra Contact into Farsi (Persian), but after we connected him with an expat originally from his country, native Farsi speaker, and old friend of L/L, Pupak, they teamed up to edit his work. They had been on a steady and mutually joyful journey of co-editing, reaching up into the 30s sessions, but due to various circumstances, they decided to hit pause on the co-editing in favor of getting all the material published to the website. However, Farsi, like Hebrew and Arabic, is a right-to-left text, which creates a series of unique hurdles for publishing. Up until recently, Daniel Shields was the only team member with the correct methodology for the website but too tied down to transmit his ways, so all three languages have been bottlenecked for some time. Now that Daniel has transferred his wisdom, we’ve begun in earnest publishing the Arabic sessions, with Farsi next in queue.Meysam also sent us 10 transcripts from the consciously channeled library. Thank you, Meysam! And for an abrupt tone change, Meysam was also in an area of the world that was on the receiving end of missiles launched from a foreign country. Thankfully that situation was short-lived, but its impact not so much.
    • Also connected Salar, who we met at the Prague gathering, with Meysam and Pupak to help support their efforts. Thank you, Salar!
  • Farsi 2: Last year we connected with Mahyar who was interested in contributing Farsi-language translations of the Transcript Library. We connected him with Meysam and he was able to contribute a transcript in Farsi this year. Thank you, Mahyar!
  • Greek:The Greek effort has been stalled at session 56 for a while, but we did get to see both of the Greek translators, Vasilis (the younger) and Vassilis (the elder); and, the latter, a native of Athens, was incredibly supportive and helpful when Austin’s girlfriend’s elderly parents ran into medical difficulty during their trip to that city.
  • Finnish: Katariina continues steadily in the long journey to translate The Ra Contact into Finnish. In 2025 we were able to publish another 24 sessions of her work. Thank you, Katariina!
  • German: Continuing the rhythm of our satellite partnership, Jochen, keeps the fires burning as he has contributed German translations of the consciously channeled transcripts. Thank you, Jochen!
  • Hebrew: This translation team is the largest, most multi-party in the history of The Ra Contact universe. Some come and go, but per our last report they consist of Jonathan, Nili, Aya, Rinat, Channa, Guy, Lucia, Mordechay, Erez, Albo, Peleg, Shmulik, and Uri, with Jonathan serving as the lead.  | They are a well-organized bunch with a diversification of roles, project management, and proofreading, which bespeaks a process of high quality and fidelity. Thanks to their work, we were able to publish the next 20 sessions of the Hebrew TRC. Thank you to all the aforementioned entities!
  • Hindi: This is another language consisting of a multi-entity team, though we primarily work with Meenakshi. We love Meenakshi’s questions seeking clarity on the meaning of various phrases and words. Thanks to their work we were able to publish the next 15 sessions of TRC in Hindi. Thank you, Meenakshi, Vaishali, and the others! | The group with which she associates has split off from the Mumbai-based study group to launch https://thelawofone.in/. | We heard recently from Meenakshi that a seeker she knows is interested in volunteering to translate TRC into Punjabi, another major Indian language.
  • Hungarian: Though the Hungarian Law of One books were completed long ago, Laszlo recently finished a long process of further revision that we were happy to re-publish to the website. Thank you, Laszlo!
  • Kannada: Hot off the press, this one, we have just heard from and have begun the onboarding process with Manu who has volunteered to translate The Ra Contact into Kannada, an Indian language spoken by 44 million people. Fingers crossed and thank you, Manu!
  • Russian: Nothing published in this language, but we did have various rounds of correspondence with Serge, the Russian translator of TRC, about updating the existing Russian TRC to V3 standards. | And we learned from Margarita that her project to produce a second version of the Russian translation is on pause for the foreseeable future as she invests her energy into other avenues.
  • Spanish 1: Though he’s slowed down a bit this year, Octavio of S. America continues to be a power house, contributing no less than 27 transcripts this past year. Each time he sends transcripts, he also includes a Q’uote that stood out to him, which is a great point of inspiration. Thank you, Octavio!
  • Spanish 2: And then there is Manuel of mainland Spain who, in his retired life, generously cranked out an entire book! Not to mention some transcripts. Thank you, manuel, for the Spanish-language translation of A Wanderer’s Handbook!
  • Spanish 3: Worked with Gabe, the Spanish translator of The Ra Contact, and Tatiana on the prospect of producing a printed and audiobook Spanish-language versions of The Ra Contact. Still very much in the drawing board phase.
  • Turkish: A couple years back, Hakan embarked upon a project to translate A Wanderer’s Handbook into Turkish, a project that was accelerated when we were able to connect him with Nihal, another volunteer Turkish translator. After a long period of silence, they reached out to us to say that life had taken them elsewhere and, while grateful for the journey, they could no longer continue with the project. However, they sent in all the front matter + first eight chapters—the first significant contribution in Turkish since the Law of One books many years ago. Thank you, Hakan and Nihal!
  • Ukrainian: Onboarded Aurora, a new Ukrainian translator, and received from her a transcript translated into Ukrainian, and everything needed for a Ukrainian multisite (foreign-langue version of LLResearch.org). This was especially helpful because Ukrainian is the one language we were unable to build a multisite site for due to the original translator going offline just before the war. Though, like the Albanian multisite, it is on hold waiting for the new website. Thank you, Aurora!

Please visit our Blogworthy post from last year where we give thanks to the translators and share with you their own reflections.

Translations Published

In addition to the Ra Contact sessions mentioned above, we have published the following generous contributions of translators:

List of translations published in the past year:

Uploading translations – The Ra Contact

We continue our mission to make The Ra Contact freely available to seekers around the world with steady momentum. This includes expanding our offering of international websites that offer translations of The Ra Contact for their respective language. Currently, we now have all 106 sessions published in 14 languages, which is a milestone made possible through years of dedication and collaboration. In addition, we are in the process of publishing sessions for 11 other languages, each one bringing this material closer to the hearts of more readers across the globe.

We are deeply grateful to the loving service of our volunteer translators without which none of this would be possible. Their work is more meaningful than simply producing a translation. What they do is an act of spiritual service that helps make this philosophy accessible to anyone anywhere in the world who seeks to awaken to the unity of all things.

MELODIOUS MEDLEY

Seeker Ministry

Arriving from all quarters of the Earth (and maybe off-planet—the email’s author doesn’t always identify their location), students of the Law of One, spiritual seekers, and wanderers reach out to L/L Research to sincerely share their journey of tragedies and triumphs, to express gratitude, to ask questions about the material or the organization or the spiritual journey or something happening in their lives, to submit questions for Q’uo, to share a project, to invite us to sing vocals in their punk band (well, they should), to connect, to offer to be of volunteer service, etc.

Continuing an ethic set in motion by Carla many years ago, L/L Research responds, or attempts to respond, to virtually every email the organization receives. Though we are naturally quite limited in bandwidth, ability, and superpowers, we put a lot into doing our best to meet seekers’ needs as expressed in their email, to share what little insight we have, to help seekers feel at home and welcome, and to encourage their exercise of will & faith in the journey of self-realization.

While we strive to provide thoughtful replies to every email, we appreciate your patience as our small team may take some time to respond. Your outreach means much to us, and we are committed to giving each message the care and attention it deserves.

Social Media & Printed Book Sharing of the Confederation’s Message

L/L’s principal mission is to share the Confederation philosophy with interested seekers the world over.  Toward that end, we:

  • Daily share inspirational passages from Ra and their cohorts via Facebook
  • Create and share Instagram images;
  • Launched two new Bluesky accounts, one for L/L Research focusing on sharing inspirational quotes, organizational news, & other updates; and another the Law of One specifically, with nuggets from Ra. (And we just realized that, for some reason, these accounts were never published to the website.)
  • Managed the online store and shipped book orders around the world, with various customer inquiries to process.
  • Updated Patreon with L/L news and offerings

Prison Ministry

Over the past year, we’ve seen a remarkable rise in correspondence from incarcerated seekers across the country. Since L/L Research was added to the National Prisoner Resource List last July, which is distributed to prisons nationwide, the number of letters and emails we receive has nearly doubled.

To meet this growing demand, we recognized the need to expand our team of volunteers dedicated to the Prison Ministry. After sending a call for volunteers through our mailing list, we were excited to receive responses from nearly twenty seekers eager to serve. While it was difficult to choose from so many compassionate and qualified individuals, we ultimately welcomed three new volunteers to the Prison Ministry in September. Their presence has already made a meaningful difference, helping us continue to offer thoughtful and timely responses to those seeking light behind prison walls.

Study Groups

Just one new grassroots study group sprung up this year to be added to our Study Group Directory, the NJ-NY Law of One Community.

Though we learned from our friend and Chinese translator of the Law of One, Terry Hsu, that after all these years the Taipei study group is still going strong. They may be the oldest continuously meeting group we’re aware of.

Also, began some preliminary work with our European friends and partners on their project to launch a nonprofit for European community and shared study of the Law of One.

Gatherings.Work

After landing in Prague for that city’s Law of One Gathering this past July, we were greeted with a tremendous surprise: our dear friend and collaborator on multiple levels, Vojta, had, of his own initiative, built gatherings.work. He unveiled to our widened eyes a website that could function as a central information hub for all L/L Research events!

He ran a beta test at the Prague gathering, and upon returning home we worked with him for the next 4–6 weeks to improve upon the model and ready it for its official debut at L/L’s fifth, final, and largest event, the Homecoming Gathering.

Though limited data service at Homecoming made access to the site challenging at times, it succeeded with flying colors in our eyes. It featured a live and updated schedule, vital event information, multiple maps, suggested pack list, food menu, and a gallery when attendees could upload their photos of the gathering to share with others. Furthermore, once attendees create an account, they can access the same account for any future gathering they attend.

We had long dreamed about such a prospect but never thought it was in the cards until Vojta, of his own initiative, conceived and built it from scratch as a labor of love and gift to L/L Research.

We are so wildly excited about and grateful for this profound gift. Thank you, Vojtech Schlesinger!! You’re a dream.

Tilting at Windmills – Video Footage

This has been a very slow burner that comes up now and again when the clouds part in the in the schedule and some headway can be made. It is just a project that gets continually deprioritized in the face of more pressing organizational needs. But, with various phases of episodic work behind us, and the events season concluded, the attention has turned once again. As of this writing we are working with a generous and skillful volunteer, the one known as António, to finally see this project completed. We are making great progress and aim to have at least the first two of thirty chapters published to L/L’s YouTube channel by year’s end. Wish us luck.

Continued Questions of AI

This past year, questions about AI’s role and influence on society continued buzzing in the headlines. L/L Research continues to face difficult questions about how we, as stewards of this spiritual material that we hold so dear, relate to AI, and how the world of AI relates to the material. We are constantly having to generate and revisit policies related to various AI-related questions, such as human-sounding AI narration, the use of creative AI generation for projects, the use of AI in translation work, our stance on AI models being trained on our material, the intellectual property implications of AI, how we use AI in our own day-to-day tasks, etc.

There isn’t any succinct statement we can make about our stance on AI in general (though we do have a limited statement on our Copyright Policy page), as each scenario carries its own circumstances and implications. Suffice it to say that these are not questions that we take lightly. As AI technology continues to gain in ubiquity within our society, we expect to be constantly challenged with these questions and more.

Law of One Forums

The streamlined version of the L/L-sponsored online community continues to hum along, thanks especially to the oversight of moderator Patrick, who keeps a steadfast watch over the community. Outside of financial sponsorship, it is not a region of space/time that we have involvement in or relationship with, but we are happy to help to provide a moderated space focused on Law of One study in our own small way.

Documentarian

Over the years we have intersected with various people in the film production world that were interested in doing some kind of documentary-style piece on the Law of One and/or the story of L/L Research. Nothing has ever fully developed from these explorations, but the idea remains in the air. We have crossed paths with another individual interested in finding some way to feature the Law of One in some documentary-style project. It is all just preliminary discussions at the moment, with no concrete plans or agreements. But the documentarian has some primary qualities we would hope for in someone leading such a project: a service-to-others orientation, the ability to create a professional project with minimal resources, and has been a long-term reader of the Law of One and L/L Research channeling. Stay tuned for possible updates.

Rest in Peace Judy Carroll

Over the years, we’ve shared correspondence with a kind soul named Judy. She would write in with comments and kind reflections about the channeling library. Her warmth was apparent in her communication, and we always appreciated the opportunity to connect. Sadly, Judy passed into larger life last year, but before she did, she left a very generous gift for L/L Research in her will of around $40k that fully balanced our budget this year. We are deeply grateful for kindness and generosity, and hold her, her family, and her friends in our prayers.

LIBRARY WEBSITE 3.0

The current LLResearch.org was launched four years ago on Sep 25, 2021. Though it was a huge evolutionary leap forward from the website-that-was (eternal gratitude to the creator and webmaster of the former version, Ian Jaffray), Daniel, L/L’s webdev, learned of many needed improvements, leading eventually to the need to rewrite and restructure the entire code base as the website continued to grow so large that it started to creak at the seams.

Not only does it need to be rebuilt from the ground up for those reasons, but there are many more features that we want to incorporate, including but not limited to:

  • free user accounts
  • navigating and using the substantial archive of free information like a true interactive library, including:
  • marking transcripts as read/unread/to read/favorite
  • highlighting, annotating, and tagging transcripts for personal use
  • offering a beginner’s corner section
  • creating self-made study courses of the material
  • hosting guided meditations and real-time events for people to gather for meditations; and more.

We were apparently quite optimistic in the last report thinking that we were getting close to launching. This was not the case. Not the case at all. Throughout 2025 we continued working intensively on the site, some highlights of which we will share below.

However, the story of this work is told from the non-web developer perspective, those working on site architecture and content. Because the wizard behind the curtain, L/L’s web developer Daniel Shields, invested another solid year of going above and beyond what he is compensated, he is the one member of the team we don’t expect to directly contribute to this behemoth.

Architectural Layout & Text Editing

On our end, much of the journey of the past year has been focused on designing and configuring the architecture of the site: what primary sections do we feature on the menu and how many of them are there? What pages does each section feature? What content does each page feature? How are those pages and is that content arranged, interlinked, etc.?

There are about 5,000 nuanced considerations when attempting to answer these questions, and that is just from our end. On Daniel’s end, he must factor in coding, accessibility, usability on various levels, and all manner of website best practices.

The journey has not been a progressively linear one. Instead, we have gone through multiple iterations of completely reshuffling the deck and starting over. However, the iteration we launched in August seems to be the final one. We are nearing the final stages of fine-tuning that iteration to perfection as we work on other pieces, including:

Writing and editing pages and pages… and pages of website content. In the coming couple weeks we will begin the process of writing new content where needed and editing existing content to conform to the new structural layout of the website.

Also we have worked on:

Guides for Translators

As part of our ongoing mission to make The Ra Contact and our conscious channeling transcripts freely accessible to seekers around the world, we’re working toward enabling volunteer translators to directly edit and publish material in their language to the website via the content management system (CMS) that we ourselves use to publish and edit all website content. Achieving this goal requires careful planning and a reconfiguration of our system to accommodate additional users with limited access permissions, the major step of which Daniel completed when updating the system to allow for translator accounts with language-specific permissions.

To ensure a smooth onboarding process, we are also developing introductory training materials that will guide translators in how to use the CMS effectively. A central component of this training involves the creation of detailed instruction guides that walk translators through the process of uploading and publishing their work. Over the past couple of months, our team has begun creating these guides, which are an important first step toward preparing for translator onboarding in the near future.

Beginner’s Corner

Because the Law of One material is both rich and complex, we recognized the need for a clear, inviting starting point that helps visitors find their way through its many layers. Thus, as part of our broader initiative to refresh the entire website this year, we resumed development on a new section dedicated to seekers who are either brand new to the Law of One or simply curious to learn more. Appropriately named the Beginner’s Corner, this section is designed to gently orient newcomers while also supporting those wishing to deepen their understanding.

We’re excited to share that this new page is nearing completion! We are hopeful it will serve as a valuable tool for those just beginning their exploration of the Law of One and/or discovering L/L Research for the first time.

Translator Supergroup

During our time in between the European gatherings of Prague and Berlin in 2024, we spent time with Vojta (Czech translator) and Mauro (Italian translator). During that time, they tag-teamed the proposal on a project to link translators together and provide common resources. It would consist of two main components:

One, a translators-only social platform that would be owned and managed by translators, where those of the craft who have exhibited a commitment to the work can share questions and challenges related to translating, including being able to ask us in a common space where all may benefit, in lieu of the translator emails we answer presently that go to just one or a few translators at a time.

Two, a shared repository in a translator-only webpage on our website that would include policies and crystallized knowledge as a resource in common to all.

We joyfully worked with Mauro and Vojta in helping to lay a blueprint for the foundation of the project as step one, and world domination as step two. And they very kindly held a lot of patience for us as we have been…. slow to continue with the project, though we should be launching soon. Thank you, Mauro and Vojta!

NUTS n BOLTS

Nonprofit Administration

Of the work that we are blessed to do, a decent chunk is dedicated to the yellow-ray dimension of the organization of L/L Research. This dimension serves our ability to pursue our mission of offering spiritual resources for seekers, so it is not done in vain. But it can often seem quite mundane!

Throughout the days, weeks, and months, we are always maintaining the ship with various regular tasks serving the administration of the organization. The range of these tasks continues to grow as L/L Research grows. They include things such as: maintaining the digital domain that L/L Research increasingly exists within, from cloud and email services, to servers, to various licenses and subscriptions and digital necessities; to tax preparation and filing; to payroll processing and employment compliance; banking and managing various financial accounts; general technological upkeep and troubleshooting; and all of the million other little things that come with existing within the yellow-ray sphere as a nonprofit organization.

Copyright Requests

Of the standard seeker emails we receive and respond to, a common type of outreach is related to copyright permissions and requests. Seekers all over the world generate new, creative, interesting media to help explore and study the material. We often receive queries regarding the copyright implications of such works. Each creation is unique, but our simple copyright policy typically allows for many projects to move forward without issue. Some requests necessitate a closer review for permission. The more unique requests that brush the boundaries of our policy are being logged for a fuller copyright guide that we can use to help determine the viability of various types of requests.

Kindle Adaptation

Just to serve as an example of the kinds of fun worldly challenges that pop up constantly in our lives, we learned in the process of preparing the new edition of A Concept Guide and the update to The Ra Contact that Amazon has recently changed the standard format they use for custom-formatted Kindle books.

Since the way we have developed ebooks relies on a particular method that is adapted to the old format used by Amazon, the process must be reconstructed for each book that we want to update. For books with such unique formatting as The Ra Contact, adapting to such changes can eat up a decent chunk of time learning how to recreate the same formatting in a different ebook format. Little things like this are frequent visitors on our daily journey. It’s not all meditation and channeling here. Though our hearts are in perpetual meditation… : )

Migrating Bookkeeping

This one is just as fun. For many years, the bookkeeping software we use was available as a desktop app that one purchased for a one-time fee, used for several years, then purchased the latest edition. This wise company realized that there was so much user need for more cash to be had with a subscription model. Thus, they forced all desktop users to migrate their data to an online version.

Having put it off long enough, and dreading the coming migration, we finally capitulated and made the big leap in January, adapting to a thoroughly redesigned system after having spent years perfecting our own bookkeeping methods. It has been a journey, but we have adapted to the new system fairly efficiently now. There are some positives to the system, but our ire toward avarice remains. And speaking of…

Bookkeeping

Completed another year of bookkeeping!!

It is an operation which grows more time-consuming as the organization and readership grows. We have begun looking into ways to automate some of the manual labor aspects of bookkeeping.

Model for Foreign-Language Printed Books and Audiobooks

With the prospect of potentially finally unlocking our ability to publish foreign-language versions of L/L’s material on the horizon, we designed a blueprint for navigating the yellow-ray complexities of that process. This, however, will hinge on our ability to create a “One Source of Truth” (as described in last year’s massive Blogworthy) which we can use to generate PDFs for printing foreign-language versions.

Podcast on Spotify

Listeners of the Law of One podcast on Spotify may have noticed that the episodes were removed earlier this year. We have been working on a solution to the issue that caused them to be removed from Spotify, and they should start to return to the platform soon.

Annual Fundraiser

This particular Blogworthy comes on the cusp of launching our annual fundraiser. Preparing for the fundraiser can be a flurry of activity with many fun adventures navigating the world of business mailing. But it is always an opportunity to reflect on the great fortune that this small administrative staff is in the position of stewarding this organization and the material under its care. We are so lucky that people believe the mission of L/L Research is worthy of supporting financially (or in any way), and our gratitude is boundless. If you feel called, you can always donate to L/L Research on our Donate page.

AGM + Budget Meeting

Held each February, we completed the Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the Board of Directors to look over the year that was and consider our objectives and projects for the year to come, which this blogworthy more or less captures, though you can find Minutes from the last AGM on our Yellow-Ray page.

And did the same for the annual budget meeting held each December to forecast expenses/revenue for the coming year and plan accordingly. Many, many thanks to that anonymous donor who launched an endowment for L/L Research a few years back. This was the third year we disbursed funds from the endowment ($40k total). That along with the $40k bequeathed to L/L by Judy Carroll (mentioned above) were critical in creating a balanced budget for 2025.

Etsy

In the last blogworthy we reported that we decided to let go of Etsy as a platform for L/L’s sweet apparel merch due to some hurdles, including that in a few years of using the platform, L/L essentially broke even, and began investigating alternatives. But, being a low-priority item, a year elapsed without returning to the project. However, people have asked us about it over the months, both in desire to support the organization and to wear Law of One gear. And then a Homecoming attendee, Danilo, experienced in the industry, offered his service to help get all the apparel we had previously created onto a different storefront. Talks have just begun. Thank you, Danilo!

Others

  • Worked with the CPA to complete our annual Form 990, the paperwork that is submitted to the IRS every year. You can find it published to our Yellow-Ray page.
  • Investigated a non-amazon print-on-demand publisher for our books but unfortunately it didn’t meet the organization’s needs
  • Issued semi-annual royalties to Tobey for his contribution to The Ra Contact books and to Jim for his narration of the audiobooks.

LICENSING PARTNERS

In early 2014, he who would become the German translator of L/L Research’s material, Jochen, approached us with a proposal. Subsequently we embarked upon a project together to build and establish an important collaboration: the licensing partnership. (Or “satellite stations.”)

In this arrangement, a translator or group translators are empowered exclusively to translate, publish, and sell L/L works in their language. Foundational to the agreement, and in keeping with L/L Research’s mission, the material must remain free on the web for all interested seekers; but the translator may also sell printed/ebook/audiobooks, with a royalty percentage returned to L/L Research. It is thanks to the advent of print-on-demand publishing that small operations (like L/L Research) have been freed from reliance on traditional publishers (though they of course remain needed for and useful to society).

It is not an arrangement that has been revenue-generating for the organization, but more importantly it has helped the Confederation’s message of unity to reach more interested seekers.

Part of the agreement includes quarterly activity/sales reports from our partners. This we share below for the Czech and the German/French operations.

CZECH

We first met Vojta via email outreach in January 2016, in which he expressed his interest to volunteer translate the Law of One into his native Czech language. In August of the following year, we would officially sign L/L Research’s second licensing agreement, following the model set by Jochen three years prior for the German/French languages. Vojta would also attend and volunteer for several consecutive Louisville Homecoming Gatherings. In 2019, he proposed L/L’s first ever international Law of One Gathering in his home city of Prague, where, save for the covid years, we have been holding events annually ever since.

(His quarterly reports this year did not give us much to copy + paste, so the following will be a summary from our end.)

Vojta continues to be a key collaborator and volunteer for the organization in multiple ways, including lending expert support to the project to design and build a new website, but the project to translate and publish what is now The Ra Contact has been a very slow burn, involving the efforts of multiple and shifting Czech translators.

  • And we are very, very happy to report that Vojta and team completed the project in 2025! You can find the full Czech Ra Contact on the Czech-language version of LLResearch.org.
  • Vojta also relaunched his own brand new, well-organized and beautiful Czech-language website for his operation: https://www.zakonjednoty.cz/
  • And if this were not enough, he, of his own initiative and design, conceived and built gatherings.work—a website that, after being tested at this year’s Homecoming Gathering, will serve as a central hub for L/L Research events. (See “Gatherings.work” section in the “Melodious Melody” section waaay above.)

Vojta also intends to make Ra kontakt: Učení Zákona jednoty, Díl I (The Ra Contact: Teaching the Law of One, Volume 2) available in print by Christmas.

Many thanks, Vojta!

GERMAN & FRENCH

First reaching out in December 2012 with offer to volunteer translate the Law of One into German, Jochen was moved to translate for the same basic set of reasons that all volunteer translators share: they experience such healing, or clarity, or transformation that they wish to make L/L’s work available to all others who may also be helped.

As the relationship deepened, Jochen conceived a new idea: the Licensing Agreement mentioned in the Czech entry above. Letting him take the lead in establishing the terms, we officially signed the agreement in October 2014. In March the next year—and in collaboration with L/L’s most prolific volunteer translator, Misha of the French language—Jochen incorporated French into his basically one-man publishing operation.

Jochen has remained steadfast in that mission ever since, now celebrating eleven years completed as we move into its twelfth year. And whether it his German DNA or something else, his quarterly reports are paragons of meticulous record keeping, a true sight to behold.

Even though publishing in two languages, L/L’s work remains too niche to be financially self-sustaining, particularly as this mission gives away the work for free, so, like Vojta, Jochen must hold other income-based work, reducing the time/energy he would love to otherwise devote to sharing the Confederation philosophy with interested seekers.

In the past year, Jochen has shared the following ongoings of the German/French operation, mostly in his words.

French

Misha has contributed around a dozen or so books in French to L/L Research. Now in her 80s, she is visited by various difficult health catalyst, so her work has understandably and rightfully slowed.

  • Misha completed the translation of Matthias Galke’s Intelligent Infinity book, and I am working on publishing it soon. I thank you for this amazing work!
  • In terms of activities, I guess, Misha and I can say that we both worked on the French translation of Matthias’ book Intelligent Infinity. Misha completed the translation, thank you again very much! And I already spent a good deal of time formatting the work, so that it will soon appear, at first in the Kindle format.

German

  • I “gave it all” to complete the next half year edition of the “Messages” periodical which I managed to do. It will appear in two days and contain the Saturday meditations of January to May 2019, again with an index.
  • I finished translating and publishing the biannual magazine with the Confederation messages from 2019 (I). After that, I mainly focused on Matthias’s third volume, “Amnesia.” Our Berlin group met for the first time in the new year, at the vegetarian Indian restaurant “Hari Moksh.”
  • I focused on producing the next half year collection of channeling, 2019 (II), which will be a bigger work ;-).
  • I worked intensely  to complete the collection of messages from the second half of 2019: Das Gesetz des Einen-Verlag Webshop – Das Bündnis der Planeten: Botschaften 2019 (II)
  • A funny thing happened to me last quarter because I translated sessions from 2019, and during the period that I translated the question about the burning of Notre Dame (that was asked in one of the sessions), the cathedral was suddenly reopened in grand splendor … 🙂

Many thanks to Jochen and to Misha!

PERSONAL SHARINGS

Austin Bridges

Thomas Merton and the magical potential of books

In April of this year, as I was at an inflection point of a dark night of the soul, I experienced a synchronicity related to Thomas Merton, the Trappist monk and Christian mystic, coming up in conversation in unusual places—this not long before Gary had a silent retreat at Thomas Merton’s home, the Abbey of Gethsenemi. It felt like a pretty strong nudge to look into his work, so I picked up his most popular work, New Seeds of Contemplation.

Having gone through a long period of spiritual and emotional difficulty, in perhaps the ripest moment of potential transformation from that experience, the book was a particular kind of magical catalyst for me, the kind of potent medicine that only becomes available in states of raw spiritual vulnerability.

While I had never really connected with Christian mystical teachings before, I have been exposed to them enough that many of the topics Merton wrote about in the book were not unfamiliar to me. But the sharp clarity of his writing pierced straight into my heart, that heart within that holds the divine truth of all mystical teachings. The clarity of his thoughts on a range of spiritual topics was so bright to me that it almost burned, allowing some outer layers of crusty distortions to seemingly slough off. His words helped me to access deep, lifelong wounds related to self-worth, unconditional love, and social solitude, all through a Christian lens.

Also thanks to Merton’s work, I was able to finally understand the deep connective tissue of truth between the teachings of Jesus (as perceived by the mystics) and the Law of One. The general messages of love, forgiveness, and service were always apparent, but thanks to Merton, I was finally able to see the incredible portal to divine love that Jesus helped to open through his teachings. I also began to understand, at least some small amount, the seeming paradox of a Christian God in full unity with an individual with free will, and the more personalized experience of the Creator. And I got a small taste of Christian faith.

Perhaps one of the greatest gifts I have received from this work is the having a new connection point with Carla through her Christian mysticism. Her Christian-oriented reflections have always been beautiful to me, but not something I fully connected with spiritually. But thanks to the experience of being transformed by Thomas Merton’s words, I have a new appreciation for how Carla speaks about Jesus, the Father, and her deep Christian faith.

The experience caused me to reflect on the magical potential contained in books. My life had been completely changed by books before, most notably the Law of One material. But I get the sense that the magical potential is greater than just the concepts communicated by the words on the page. One of the authors I have been interested in lately, Jeffrey Kripal, talks about books as being literally magical. He speaks about books seeming to contain a metaphysical charge that causes them to generate meaning and experience, rather than simply convey meaning. He speaks about books existing as portals to new states of experience, with the creation of the book being a magical act, and the reading of the book being a magical act, with a real transpersonal dimension that is deeper than the text. He discusses the idea of this magic allowing books to act as agents of synchronicity.

My intersection with Thomas Merton definitely seems to lend itself to these ideas. Even though I have experienced receiving the right catalyst at the right time for the right lesson, it still can be surprising when things seem to orchestrate themselves in alignment with the essential transformation being called for from within my being. I hope that sharing this experience may play a role in orchestrating some divine guidance for whoever reads it, whether it’s looking into Thomas Merton’s work, reading that book that’s been calling to you, or simply listening more closely to those signals and impulses that might lead you to what you are needing for your own journey.

Gary Bean

I had multiple things I wanted to share here, including:

  • A write-up about my self-directed, five-day silent meditation retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani in April, including nights spent meditating on a pew in the church alone.
  • The Ramana Maharshi Study Group that West (BJ) and I co-facilitate.
  • About how we felt it was important to do something spiritually significant on our personal budget/time between Prague and Berlin this year, and how that led Austin, Trish, and I to spend a day at Auschwitz-Birkenau to devastate our hearts, and bring some modicum of healing to the horror that lives there; and the massive, extraordinary synchronicity we experienced the day before.
  • Sharing what a friend said about the parallels between AA and the Law of One as he sees it.

But alas… I have burnt myself out, and then some, producing this literally book-sized report. Unless someone else takes up this torch on their own free time in the future, this is definitely the last year that L/L Research produces something at this scale. We have too few available hours and kilojoules, which are already over-committed keeping up with a workload and mission that grows every year. And I desire greatly to get out of the business of writing reports and into the business of offering the indigo-channeled business of healing.

There is one little personal share….

50 Events/20 Years

About a year ago we compiled all the attendee rosters from all events since the beginning of time (or when actual records began, which just happens to coincide with my time of service to L/L) to crunch the data into a master list.

By some odd movement of the divine’s hand, or pure and utter randomness, who knows, we learned that the upcoming Homecoming Gathering would be my fiftieth L/L event, with the next closest tallies of Austin and Trish in the mid-30s. This happening was also transpiring just a few months prior to January 2026, when I will have been serving L/L Research in a formal capacity for 20 years.

Thus, it was that in the introductory portion of the gathering that Austin asked for the mic so that he and Trish could execute on their conspired plan. Joined by Jim, they honored those 50 gatherings and 20 years with kind words, a slide show of pictures, and a couple small customized gifts. This was unexpected and unusual for me, because usually I am the one honoring others publicly and privately.

Of those 50 gatherings, I was an attendee only during the first two. The next 48 have featured the privilege, honor, and joy of designing and building these gatherings and serving as a container holder. A joy/honor because I have been able to meet and fall in love with the Creator in many various incarnations and costumes.

But this is not without its price, which includes the sad note that accompanies the producer, one that Trish and Austin know as wellI and we have always sought to reduce responsibilities for Jim, and, in her time, Carlathat is, missing out on many conversations, presentations/activities, and points of connections with loved other-selves due to responsibilities to the event.

That notwithstanding, for me the greatest joy was seeing Homecoming Gathering grow and find a new home in a beautiful, spirit-imbued outdoor space, and to witness the threads of love connect heretofore lone and/or lonely individuals into a web of community and shared heart.

2025.11.25, Part 2

This post is a continuation of the post above.

LAW OF ONE GATHERINGS

Within that mirror’s image, within that other self that you see lies a limitless and infinite self, a self that is connected to all other selves and to all parts whatsoever of the creation of the Father. This connection is so powerful that to gather together in groups, even small groups, is to gather tremendous amounts of energy, and if each of you can sense into the flow of energy around the circle in which you sit you may indeed experience for yourself the great amount of light energy that coming together with one purpose and hope has given to you.

Each connection that is made between spirits such as yourselves is a connection that is greatly sanctified and blessed and holy, and it is the reason that you feel that need to come into groups and to express your love of the Creator in some way as a group. The energy of each multiplies the energy of each, so that together you are far more than the sum of yourselves.

Q’uo, April 18, 1999

Wanderers, spiritual seekers, and students of the Law of One are at home with one another—even and especially for those who are introverted, socially awkward, or saddled with feelings of alienation, of which there are many in this community. When we come together in a circle of seeking, joy, love, even exuberance are unlocked and released into the environment. And magic is in the air.

Again and again, this experience has been repeated over the decades.

This is not to say that the doubts, the anxieties, the depressions, and the inner and outer struggles of life are banished because of an L/L Research gathering. Rather it is to say that the load is immeasurably lightened for a time; the way made clearer; the armor let down to allow the light in; the oasis of community, belonging, and togetherness tasted.

The healing, even transformative experiences of the these gatherings is due not to any specialness on L/L’s part – we are just spaceholders – but to the utter magic of being among one’s people, in a sense, however different the backgrounds, interests, and temperaments. The hearts naturally open up. There is ease. And the lived sense of the Creator is more palpably felt.

This year, 2025, was our second round of five gatherings in a calendar year. It has become clear to us that we have hit the ceiling of our capability, at least at present levels of energy, resources, and staff. So a sixth gathering in a year would be like the 107th session of the Ra contact—not fated to be.

But oh what a year! In order of appearance on the calendar, we hosted/co-hosted the five following Law of One-focused gatherings:

Of those, there were several important changes/upgrades this year:

  • We launched the brand new Law of One Contemplative Retreat. Built from the ground up, the event integrated aspects of a silent meditation retreat with Law of One study. (The event’s facilitators were invited onto Nathan’s “The Law of One & Spiritual Concepts” podcast to reflect on the event.)
  • Joining our friends of the Law of One Europe group, we expanded the one-day Law of One Berlin Gathering to three days as it grew into a full-sized event for the first time.
  • Migrating from Jim’s quarter-acre suburban home for the first time since Homecoming’s launch in the mid-90s, we found a new home on a Kentucky farm for the Homecoming Gathering and expanded the circle to its largest size at 70 people.
  • As mentioned in the Melodious Medley > Gatherings.work section in the previous post, Vojta, the Czech translator, built a website to serve as a hub for all L/L Research gatherings into the foreseeable future.

Each event was profoundly inspiring and a spiritual battery recharger. We love and feel familial bonds with the Law of One community so much. Many, many thanks to our collaborators who volunteer their love and efforts toward L/L Research and the gathered circle, and above all to everyone who shows up with hearts brilliant in their truth.

Gary had wanted to produce a financial analysis of the gatherings to publish to this blog but as he is crawling forward, marshaling the final reserves of energy to complete the above post and this one, that shall have to wait.

To be notified of when registration opens for these events, please subscribe to our Gatherings Newsletter, or develop telepathy, whichever is more convenient for you.

THE LAW OF ONE
CONTEMPLATIVE RETREAT

Crestone, CO
May 15–18, 2025

Our first gathering of the season, an experimental one, was our Law of One Contemplative Retreat in Crestone, Colorado.

Setting

The Sun Luis Valley is the largest alpine valley on the planet. Running on roughly a north-south axis, it is bracketed by two mountain ranges on each side: the San Juan mountains to the west and the San Sangre de Cristo range to the east. The valley in between is around 8,000 feet above sea level. You could feel that elevation when walking between the buildings.

The Blazing Mountain Retreat Center in Crestone, CO sits at the base of the eastern range of mountains in this valley. Perched on a hillside, it’s very large main meeting area has a long row of huge windows that look west across the valley to the snow-capped mountain range on the other side. Big sky. Big quiet. The air outside is incredibly still and relatively noise-free.

There are no chain hotels, restaurants, convenient stores, etc., in town. The area is rather remote with a tiny population; but, uniquely, it is also home to around fourteen different spiritual centers of different faiths and denominations. It is sometimes called Little Tibet.

Blazing Mountain Retreat Center was a perfect setting for quiet, stillness, and connection.

Meditation Schedule

Following a long-held dream to incorporate elements of a silent meditation retreat into a Law of One context (especially thanks to Gary’s various vipassana and other silent meditation retreats), we experimented with integrating aspects of a silent meditation retreat. And accelerating the zip line to enlightenment.

In order to support the morning meditation and to experience a taste of Noble Silence, we asked attendees to hold intentional silence during breakfast. After which, we convened as a group in the main meeting hall for ten minutes of meditation guidance followed by an hour-long block of silent meditation.

In the evening, we met again for group discussion about our experiences in meditation, followed by another 30-minute silent group meditation.

Between the morning/evening meditations we hosted the standard open space offerings that most everyone here is familiar with.

We also asked that all transitions between the scheduled blocks of time be conducted in silence in order to foster mindfulness.

We were joined by our fabulous and longtime co-facilitator West (BJ) Harden-Jones (who along with her husband Aaron Maret, teamed up with us to build the Coming Home series launched in Asheville in 2018). BJ, Austin, and Gary each took a turn sharing meditation guidance before each of the hour-long group meditations, but not from the position of meditation teachers – only humble thoughts shared from our own respective practices.

Experience

Some of the attendees had attended a silent meditation before. Many had not. Thus, many were new to meditating for an hour’s length of time and/or to sharing a communal meal in intentional silence.

We didn’t hear from everyone, but of those we heard from the reports were overwhelmingly positive. At the end of the gathering, most hands went up when we asked who intended to carry a daily meditation practice beyond the retreat.

We loved every aspect of it. The space could not have been more beautiful, rivaling Rainbow Lodge outside of Seattle. When we walked into cavernous, sunlight, many windowed, hardwood-floored main meeting hall for the first time, Gary involuntarily gasped. Trisha and he had tears in their eyes. It was beautiful and brimming with natural sunlight.

The staff at this beautiful space were practicing Buddhists who also engaged in our moments of quietude. Between the calm surroundings, the excellent care, and the delicious food crafted by our hosts, we felt ourselves deeply nourished.

Best of all was sharing love with loving, authentic people. We loved meeting new amazing people and reconnecting with amazing people.

And with tons of zafus, zabutons, cushions, and backjacks, it was awesome sharing group meditation with a Law of One group for the first time on the floor for a full hour. Like a dream come true. 💚

We are so deeply thankful to the Blazing Mountain Retreat Center and to the anonymous philanthropist whose donation to the retreat’s parent organization that subsidized the cost by one-third provided us with the grant that made this event possible.

If interested, the event’s four facilitators joined Nathan on his podcast “The Law of One & Spiritual Concepts” to reflect on the event.

Mo Provosty

Several times over the years we have been joined at gatherings by an older attendee named Mo. A lifelong contemplative and Christian, he was introduced to the Law of One by his son and gatherings-attendee Reese. Mo was a source of mirth—he always seemed to have a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

Attending the Contemplative Retreat, we would learn that in multiple sessions he couldn’t fully hear what was being said due to poor hearing, but he nevertheless smiled and emanated a joy simply to be present.

A couple months after the Contemplative Retreat, we would learn that Mo had reached the end of his incarnation. On the outer level, something happened medically and spontaneously. Mo was in his front yard walking back from a trip to the grocery store when he left his incarnation. It took the whole family by surprise.

We received the news from Reese who wrote:

I am so so grateful that we had the chance to attend the meditation retreat in Crestone together and that y’all got to experience the entity Mo in all his appropriately inappropriate glory.

And added:

During his final week here all he spoke about was love so I am confident he stepped off the yellow brick road after it turned green.

(Shared also with others with permission from Reese.) Mo always brought a smile to our face. We will miss him.

COMING HOME TO A NEW EARTH GATHERING

North Bend, WA
June 12–15, 2025

Three years ago, we ventured to the PacNW to host L/L’s first gathering west of Louisville. Oh, how right that decision was.

Our second gathering of the 2025 season was our Coming Home to a New Earth Retreat in North Bend, Washington. In its second year at the beautiful Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center, this event appears to have found its home… at least for the foreseeable future. We have seen a community grow from this gathering, with many attendees returning to the event.

As it is, Law of One students tend to feel kinship with one another on first contact, but when that is sustained and given the space to deepen, the web of light is strengthened into bonds of companionship; bonds that effortlessly welcome and integrate those new to the gathering.

If each gathering has its own flavor, we might say that this Coming Home event has a “spiritual summer camp” feel. In between the powerful sharings and classes offered by fellow seekers are moments of wonder and occasional silliness. And there is a popcorn machine, that helps.

From the incredibly friendly staff to the misty and verdant surroundings, the mismatched coffee cups to the 5am alarm of the onsite rooster, the laughs around the bonfire to the hugs on Monday morning, we feel deeply blessed to share this space with such beautiful fellow selves.

And the chairs! Oh, the comfortable, thick-padded chairs with armrests. Nothing like it in the venue world.

We were joined with co-facilitation from our dear friend and improv extraordinaire, Stephanie Anderson.

PRAGUE LAW OF ONE GATHERING

Prague, Czech Republic
July 18–20, 2025

Our third gathering of the season took us across the pond to the Czech Republic for our Prague Law of One Seeker Gathering. This was our fifth year in the capital city working with husband-wife duo Vojta and Emilly, our friends and collaborators of the Czech translation team.

This series was launched in 2019 when Vojta, the principal Czech translator of The Ra Contact, proposed that L/L Research host its first international gathering in a city renown the world over for its beauty, culture, and high-quality but inexpensive beer. 🍺

We once again held the gathering at the lovely and centrally located Prostor8 venue. A now very familiar space, it is located in the courtyard of a large block of stone building apartments, and within easy walking distance from nearby hotels and AirBnBs.

Our partnership with Vojta and Emilly continued to strengthen and streamline, as we have fine-tuned much of the production, with V&E handling all the on-the-ground effort in the Czech Republic. We remain so thankful to be able to share in such a project with family.

We were also inspired to see so many returning seekers and meet new friends from across the globe. It was a few attendees smaller than usual and with less international diversity, but there were still seekers from eight different countries-of-origin present, including Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Norway, Slovenia, UK, and the USA. (Though naturally some of those seekers were born and/or raised in countries other than the one they now live in.)

Prague is also the first event we resumed after the covid pause, and the first where, in 2022, Austin, Trish, and Gary made the leap and channeled in front of other human beings besides Jim <gasp> for the first time after years of practicing non-publicly. The event and those who attend it live fondly in our hearts.

As we do at almost all our events now, we used the Open Space Technology for the gathering, which is a methodology whereby the circle co-creates the schedule each morning with various presentations/activities shared from their hearts and minds.

And for an extra measure of a nostalgic sense of home, we were reunited with our dear friend Roman (Romi) Vodacek, who lived in Louisville from the early 90s to 2013. A close friend of Carla and Jim’s, he attended virtually every channeling in the 90s and in many cases was the only other person present, thereby making the minimum of three people needed for the universal contact.

The gathering was also joined by Morris and Linda Hoagland for the first time, the latter L/L Research’s oldest friend (he knew Don and Carla years before Jim would meet them) and the Chair of L/L Research’s Board.

BERLIN LAW OF ONE GATHERING

Berlin, Germany
July 25–27, 2025

Just a week after Prague, our fourth gathering of the season followed closely in Germany with our Berlin Law of One Seeker Gathering. This series was launched and funded in 2022 by Daniel Hodapp, who invited us and other Law of One seekers for a spiritually focused afternoon together in a large room in a Berlin building that his employer let him use. : )

The next year, 2023, Daniel was able to book a conference room in the large Hotel Estrel for the one-day gathering. The next year, 2024, he was joined forces by an agent of love of the female and angelic variety of our species (who prefers not to be credited) and booked a wonderful and unique place, the Buddhist House, the oldest operating Buddhist monastery in Europe, for a one-day gathering.

With interest growing, Daniel and his collaborator proposed that the one-day event be expanded into a three-day gathering. Arms locked together, L/L Research took the plunge with him. Daniel + collaborator worked to create a new iteration of this gathering that included elements of the Open Space format used at our other events with meditations and periodic check-ins around the circle.

This year’s event returned to Estrel Hotel, a gigantic hotel with multiple large conferences happening at the same time as our little gathering off in a corner of the hotel, one of which was the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP of the card game Yu-Gi-Oh! (Their exclamation mark.)

Also, there was a conference of medical persons in the hotel about the herpes virus. So, we weren’t the only interesting ones…

Like our Prague gathering, we found ourselves so touched to learn of the many places fellow seekers travel from to connect in-person. By our count there were representatives of ten different nationalities (which is an aspect of identity that the Law of One places great importance on…), including: Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, and the USA.

And from both events, a robust virtual community has taken root, thanks in no small part to the consistent effort that Daniel & company make to so lovingly tend to the European readership through their online Telegram group.

The three-day expansion worked great! And as of this writing in November 2025, we are working with Daniel and team on selecting next year’s venue, which, spoiler alert, will migrate from Berlin and thus need a new series name.

THE HOMECOMING GATHERING

Harrodsburg, KY
September 11–14, 2025

Discovery

Our fifth and final gathering of the season, L/L’s first, oldest, and flagship event, the Homecoming Gathering, migrated from Jim’s quarter-acre suburban home for the first time to find a home to spread its wings on a 350-acre family farm and sacred space in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

Why did it migrate? Last year, Homecoming filled up within an hour of opening public registration, and thereafter the waitlist grew to 30 souls within a few days before we had to close that too. We knew it was time. And so, the search began.

Rooted in his Louisville home, Jim is not a traveling person anymore, and we cannot have Homecoming without a Jim, so we needed to find a local’ish venue. Trisha scoured Louisville and surrounding areas but couldn’t find anything that fit the bill. But synchronicity or luck would deliver to us a superlative venue for our gathering

Late one December night, Gary, wistfully and wishfully remembering the music festivals that he and Trish used to attend, joined by Austin a couple of times, in central rural Kentucky, he checked into their website. He was saddened to learn that they no longer hold music festivals, but elated to learn they do book their property as a venue space.

A couple weeks later that same month, Trish, Gary, and Austin made a trip to Terrapin Hill Farm to meet with the wife-husband duo, Brenda and Pete, who own and steward the land. We fell in love all over again with the beautiful land and its stewards. They and we were both excited to host Homecoming at Terrapin Hill, and, as synchronicity would have it, a September weekend was atypically open.

The Land

This 350-acre retreat space once served as a hub for periodic music festivals (that Trish, Gary, Austin attended many moons ago) but has continued to be a space for spirit-congruent events. Thanks to Brenda and Pete, its kindhearted and spiritually oriented owners, along with the many thousands who have shared their hearts in this place, the land has been imbued with decades of love, community, ceremony, and sacred energy.

The farm boasted four covered spaces for our breakout sessions (three of which are electrified and all of which were built by hand by the owners, much of the wood sourced from the land itself); an additional indoor, climate-controlled breakout space; a large hill facing a music stage, great for performances and nighttime star-gazing; a running creek; a swimmin’ pond; and miles of trails for walking in the beautiful rolling hills of central Kentucky. It is a place on Earth that generously offered seclusion, privacy, and freedom to come together in a sacred circle, not to mention the freedom to walk the earth barefoot if we so chose. Oh, and bonfires. Big ol’ bonfires.

Production Firsts

While the following details are likely interesting only to us, they MUST BE RECORDED.

Circle Size: The land could hold a thousand people, and house everyone if they wanted to camp on the land, but our logistics aren’t equipped to manage an event that size, not to mention that the Law of One just isn’t to that level yet : ). Suffice it to say, we had all the space we needed to accommodate a larger circle. But, preferring to err on the conservative side for our first go, we expanded the circle to 70 souls—still the largest we have yet hosted.

We were concerned about the potential loss to intimacy, as beyond a certain point there seems to be an inverse relationship between group size and intimacy. But by all accounts, the 70-person circle it didn’t come at the expense of intimacy. In fact, many reported that, while they didn’t connect with everyone, those dozen or so with whom they did connect were perfect, everyone else helping to hold the field of love, and creating even more opportunity for synchronicity and magic to weave its way through.

Logistically there were extra challenges and considerations to tend to a circle of that size, but it was all very manageable, and the production side of the house was relatively smooth and seamless.

Rideshare: Also in a first, we built an online rideshare system for attendees lodging offsite without cars to coordinate rides with those who had cars prior to the event. It wasn’t as needed as we had anticipated it would be, but its creation was still a pat-on-our-own-backs moment for us.

Pamphlets: Hold onto your britches: we also leveled up and created our first ever professional pamphlets! They featured a venue map, schedule, and some key info. We are a guaranteed shoe-in for fourth-density graduation.

Gatherings’ Website: And as mentioned in the Melodious Melody > Gatherings.work section in the previous post, Vojta had built a website to serve as a central hub for all L/L gatherings. He ran a beta test a couple months prior in Prague, and after a month of working on it, we unveiled the website for full use at the Homecoming Gathering.

Attendees could log into the site and access a live, up-to-date schedule that included ability to click on the different open space offerings to see a picture of the person’s written form on the marketplace grid. It also featured a venue map, comprehensive info about the venue, and a Gallery page to upload and share photos. It was a huge labor-of-love gift from Vojta’s heart and a significant upgrade to the gatherings.

Mobile Marketplace Grid: Terrapin Hill did lack something critical: an interior wall large enough to use for building the Open Space schedule during each morning’s Marketplace session. Coordinating with our dear and now local friends, husband and wife duo Greg Holden and Peggy Lester, we put together some designs, and they manifested a first-ever mobile marketplace grid!

While there are always multiple volunteers who contribute to each event, a special shoutout to our friend Nico who traveled from Germany and was instrumental in volunteering before, during, and after the gathering.

Four Days of Sun

Thank God, we were greeted with four days of sunshine and blue skies for Homecoming’s debut at Terrapin.

During the intro portion of the weekend, we asked Pete and Brenda, the husband-wife co-owners of Terrapin Hill Farm, to introduce the gathered circle to their land. Pete talked to the circle about its history, about how people come to their land and “find home,” and about all the love and spiritual energy that has been a part of the Terrapin. He said that he and Brenda don’t feel like they “own” the property so much as they are loving stewards.

We had five breakout spaces, one of which was indoors, all within a 3-to-5-minute walk. Along with a golf cart for anyone with mobility issues.

In addition to the channeling, we held several group activities: Jim did a Q&A, Gary offered a presentation about Kundalini, and J. Tong held a Q&A with the channels. Along with Incorporating a true marketplace into Homecoming for the first time, with the five breakout spaces there was plenty of space for a medley of beautiful open-space offerings in 90-min time slots.

We had a special attendee in the circle. Don Elkins’s colleague back in the 70s/80s, Andrija Puharich, had a primary assistant who had spent time with Carla and Don in the 70s named Heidi Jurka. She gave a presentation about Andrija’s work with some focus on her intersections with Don and Carla that was a hit.

Our friend Colin also offered a well-loved ecstatic dance session on Saturday night. (The Pavilion had a disco ball!) And Pete and Brenda generously led a drum circle on Sunday night, with bonfires both nights. And Terrapin also had a swimmin’ pond! And about a dozen or so people camped on site. And Morris/Linda and Steve all offered reiki services throughout the gathering.

50 Events/20 Years

Personal note from G. Bean: About a year ago we had compiled all the attendee rosters from events over the years to crunch the data into a master list. By some odd movement of the divine’s hand, or pure and utter randomness, who knows, we learned that the upcoming Homecoming Gathering would be my’s fiftieth L/L event, with the next closest sum tallies of Austin and Trish in the mid-30s. This happening was also transpiring just a few months prior to January, 2026, when I will have been serving L/L Research in a formal capacity for 20 years.

Thus, it was that in the introductory portion of the gathering that Austin asked for the mic so that he and Trish could execute on their conspired plan. Joined by Jim, they honored those 50 gatherings and 20 years with kind words, a slide show of pictures, and a couple small customized gifts. This was unexpected and unusual, because usually I am the one honoring others publicly and privately.

Personal note: Of those 50 gatherings, I was an attendee only during the first two.

That notwithstanding, for me the greatest joy was seeing Homecoming grow and find a new home in a beautiful, spirit-imbued outdoor space, and to witness the threads of love connect heretofore lone and lonely individuals into a web of community and shared heart.

We look forward to seeing how this event evolves at this new hallowed ground. And whether at Homecoming or elsewhere, we are so, so unbelievably, inexplicably, overwhelmingly BLESSED to meet so many exemplary souls living fiercely and humbly with their hearts open in a rather troubled world.

Caught Morris and Jim chatting on the porch of this small “General Store” as Terrapin calls it. They looked like a couple country fellas, so I asked them to assume the part.

While it was a most adventurous year of events effort- and time-wise, it was also a favorite. For every minute spent preparing these events there are countless more spent in gratitude and joy for the connections fostered. We are so looking forward to 2026 and seeing how our in-person gatherings evolve in the future.
