Hurts, traumas and strong emotions are impressed upon the subconscious mind. They remain there in present tense, even if the hurt happened decades ago.
Because the subconscious can't distinguish between others and self, people that criticize and judge are criticizing themselves. People holding onto rancor are poisoning themselves, hoping the perp dies. People with these problems can never be happy.
I was just thinking about this the other day ---
is memory like a DVD (perfect copy) or like a VHS tape (a degrading copy)?
I came to the conclusion that it is more like a DVD.
think about key moments in your life:
1) first kiss
2) first day in High School
3) first day in a new job
4) the day one of your relatives died
5) the first time you got a credit card in the mail
do they seem like they happened yesterday?
MEMORIES have no notion of time. To the consciousness, there is only experience, and the timestamp really has no bearing on how it is experienced.
Things that are left unresolved, are left unresolved for a lifetime. They do not just 'go away'.
The subconscious/unconscious/High Priestess is like an ever-ready scribe that jobs down every note of your Experience, even the ones that do not make it to your Conscious Awareness (experiments in hypnotic regression show a PERFECT RECALL of any detail that passes under the field of vision of your eyes).
this is a Faculty to be observed and respected. Our 10% of brain usage is only during conscious thought. The other 90% is functioning ALL THE TIME.
