SubC - BrownEye - 09-07-2011 Quote:The subconscious can't distinguish between past and future. It is always in the present. It does not function with language but with visualizations. It does not distinguish between self and others. It does not judge but accepts whatever it is told. It seems to remember every detail of our lives. Personally I think this Makow is a jackass, but he just pasted a simple concept most overlook. Also, switch illuminati with religion and it means the same thing. ![]() RE: SubC - Plenum - 03-02-2012 (09-07-2011, 12:55 AM)Makow Wrote: The subconscious can't distinguish between past and future. It seems to remember every detail of our lives. I was just thinking about this the other day --- is memory like a DVD (perfect copy) or like a VHS tape (a degrading copy)? I came to the conclusion that it is more like a DVD. think about key moments in your life: 1) first kiss 2) first day in High School 3) first day in a new job 4) the day one of your relatives died 5) the first time you got a credit card in the mail do they seem like they happened yesterday? MEMORIES have no notion of time. To the consciousness, there is only experience, and the timestamp really has no bearing on how it is experienced. Things that are left unresolved, are left unresolved for a lifetime. They do not just 'go away'. The subconscious/unconscious/High Priestess is like an ever-ready scribe that jobs down every note of your Experience, even the ones that do not make it to your Conscious Awareness (experiments in hypnotic regression show a PERFECT RECALL of any detail that passes under the field of vision of your eyes). this is a Faculty to be observed and respected. Our 10% of brain usage is only during conscious thought. The other 90% is functioning ALL THE TIME. RE: SubC - Diana - 03-02-2012 Everything Makow said in the above quote makes perfect sense to me, and aligns with current thinking in both brain science, and fringe writers like Joe Dispenza who have been telling us to reprogram the subconscious. RE: SubC - Unbound - 03-02-2012 http://www.spiritwritings.co.nz/spirituality/TheTeaching/toc.html This has some very interesting discussions regarding the "Supra-conscious mind" as it is put here, that conduit between all the incarnations of an Oversoul. RE: SubC - BrownEye - 03-02-2012 These thoughts always bring me back to the movie "Limitless". The concept is valid, although the "drug" is not. So, how to we go about "connecting" fully to the information and having full time access/awareness? Is it really just synapses that need to be networked? |
