I was not behind them, I was ahead of them. At that early stage of my life I was ahead by an average of two or three weeks. Now it has stretched out to six months or so.

There is hardly anything more worth pursuing and developing. If you can join us at the next homecoming we can discuss this in some detail. Take note: this is extremely important.
I have had a few past life dreams just as you describe (knowing they were), and many precognition dreams (and will add that like Eddie, most were mundane, like dreaming the next day I would have a flat tire).
I have had some lucid dreams, but have not gotten to the point of controlling them consciously.
There is another type of dream I have had (often). I dream that I am with someone who has passed on. Even pets. I would not know how to categorize them. Usually I know they are passed on and I am so happy to see them.
In the Castaneda books, he talks a lot about dreaming and the dreaming body. Although, these books are of a specific nature and out of the stream of typical esoteric literature.
Another type of dreaming is common, and significant, for me. That is the experiencing of parallel (probable and near) realities. This happens to me often. Most commonly for me, I am in materially reduced circumstances, but otherwise the same; married to the same woman, and living in the same (present or former) place.
