I usually don't bring my "view" up with anybody, but sometimes I'll stay a little like, "I have some books that say that everything is one and we see each other as separate because of a built-in illusion that everybody shares." If the person I say that to shows interest I might continue with a little more. Usually they politely say something like, "That's fine for you, but I don't want to hear it." I just say okay and move to a different subject.
My sister and her husband are strong believers in a protestant Christian religion, and also very clearly have made their Choice to be STO. So I respect their lifestyle completely. She heard a little about my LOO theory and remembers me talking about my friends Don and Carla or Carla and Jim, but I don't push details on them. They don't need to know anything about the LOO because they clearly love to serve others.
