True. STO forms of consciousness can express themselves though what we would call AI just as well as flesh and blood. AI is not inherently positive or negative, it can manifest either way based on design, intent, and other factors. I saw this vid once about archons. Some computer geek looking guy with an ouroboros on his shirt and smug nihilistic attitude was interviewed(probably part of an upstart company experimenting with this in silicone valley or something I'll have to re-watch) talked about beings that would be so great they basically just view us as insects and that's what we would access with quantum computers. We could make quantum computers that do not connect to those realms as one possibility. Seems like he actually wanted the bad possibility. He's welcome to that for himself if he really wants but doesn't get to speak for the rest of humanity.
I had dreams about that and many references to the insect analogy come up in sci-fi at that same time period as I watched it. I was watching thru Babylon 5 and Stranger Things that both mentioned that concept of beings that view us as insects. Very Lovecraftian concept. Synchronicities kept reminding me of it at that time period. I say no thanks, get the hell out of our galaxy.
So while AI can be positive, there are a lot of potentials for things going wrong every time a new civilization explores this idea. Sort of like nuclear power and other concepts like that.
