How do you know that you haven't already found it without knowing?
Do what you love to do, and do what you are attracted to do. That's your radar. Everything in your life is a stepping stone - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Embrace all of it, find balance, no judgment, follow your conscience. The things that have been the most challenging for you may have been the real gems of your life - in future retrospect.
Some are living lives that are more about healing themselves, others are here to provide catalyst to others, some are here to raise kids, and there are some who are here to do bigger things related to society. ..Or a myriad of other things, or all of them together!
Perhaps experiencing the frustration of not being able to find your purpose is your purpose - but I doubt it.
Your life may have 5000 different purposes too.
I doubt you'll find it by looking for it though, it'll probably find you when you are doing something you enjoy.
