I have a semi-awakened S.O who has managed to skip most of the 9-5 with crafts and sell them on the internets. While I'm glad for her I wish to join and eventually stop doing what I do now; selling lab equipment.
The problem I've stumbled across most is the non-acceptance of individuals whose knowledge has no paper to back it up, or is impossible to put on paper.
My strongest point is my extreme variety in hobbies/interests. I've gone through a great deal of different kinds and find them all interesting. However, I cannot say any one of them appeal to me more than another. The hobbies I frequent are the ones which are easiest to fit into my everyday life. This coupled with an almost completed degree in Human Ecology has given me a massive scope through which I peer at humanitys busydoing.
This background puts me in the position where I do not want to support mass consumption, even though I work with it daily now.
Not wanting to support mass consumption also reflects how willing I am to search for new modes of support.
Something does tell me I could be a good teacher and teach/learning is, as many other things, a passion of mine. Our country's current system for qualifying and educating teachers is also a downright and utter mess. Going through official channels would take around six years which there is no possibility I can afford.
This puts me in such a stuck position =/
