    Air element.

    Information communication.

I think of Gemini as passing information. A ton of transferred information via communication. Preferably verbal. The more the merrier.

Multiple thoughts juggling in their mind constantly, they have quick wit and ready to access an appropriate comment for any remark.

There are three air signs. Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. To differentiate the three, I'd say Gemini gathers any and all information and spreads it around. Libra initiates ideas by intellectually balancing one concept with its opposite. Aquarius can spend time collecting relevant data, putting it together, and pushing it forward into progressive ideas, technology for instance.

There is much more of course. Please don't scold me for generalizing, even though that is what I am doing. It is a starting point though.
I don't know much about gemini, personally. Even though my mother and mother-in-law are both gemini. I suppose I block them out. But, honestly, I think its because I don't feel like they care about the depth behind what I have to say. Like I said, "information only please." "Tapped out of info? Move along."

Dear Ocean, this week features Mars squaring Pluto. An aggressive and quite dynamic aspect. I have seen car drivers go crazy and honk their horns all day long. City life sucks sometimes :@

You cannot really practice it without generalizing. To say that Aries is a warrior is also generalizing.
It is just that when you look into a birthchart with all the planets and houses that you see the differences. not all Aries are the same, not all Capricorn people are the same, etc.
Have fun in Stockholm, Transiten! are you going to see Ankh?

I meant that I wouldn't label a person by the generalities associated with a sign.

    TELL US YOUR MERCURY !!

    http://cafeastrology.com/articles/mercuryinsigns.html

    Mine is Pisces.

If we do this, we might just get to know our bring4th family better, and our communication could flow with greater understanding. What is your Mercury?

silly. A planet is retrograde not a sign. And why are you jumping to a different sign than what it is in?

A little later I will read both signs and I'LL tell YOU what fits you Tongue

These natives can have an authoritative air about them. They don't appreciate being taken off guard, and they quickly become impatient with people who don't honor their word. There's a bit of a law-maker in this position of Mercury. These people can seem a little strict and judgmental with others, and they are easily bothered when others don't seem to "get" things that seem extraordinarily obvious to them.

Mercury in Capricorn people can have seemingly crystal-clear judgment, although their thought processes can be skewed to the practical world. They too easily reject what they deem to be frivolous ways of thinking. Not given to much fancy, these natives' minds are oriented toward practical tasks.

    If you think so...

Now, true, your core nature, you light within, is Aquarius. It would be easy to see the mercury description and associate yourself with it. In this exercise, we are focusing less on your "whole" and trying to differentiate your communication and thought processing tendencies. If you don't want to look at mercury in Cap, you don't have to Wink

I don't feel you coming off as "intellectually superior"

I've been wondering.... Mercury in Gemini is one I find troubling with my Pisces Mercury.

Quote:Turn to Mercury in Gemini men and women for lots of facts and figures as well as broad knowledge. Their learning is a little superficial -- they generally have too many interests to delve too deeply into any one.

These natives learn best in a stimulating environment. They get bored easily, but they are fast learners. Impressionable to a fault, Mercury in Gemini people pick up more from their environment than most, and they can process information at lightning speed! The restlessness of Gemini is especially obvious when Mercury is placed in the sign. There is a nervous energy here that is unmistakable.

Although Gemini is a rather open-minded sign, there is often a bias towards logic. Unless Mercury forms an aspect with the Moon in the birth chart, Mercury in Gemini natives don't always rely on intuition, nor do they take into account the world of emotion in their decision-making processes. In this sense, they can come across as a little too intellectual or just plain logical. The lack of heart behind what they say and think can be frustrating to more personal communicators[such as 3DMonkey]

This is a great example of how astrology can let us in on existing dynamics. The benefit comes from an understanding that "this is the way that it is" because this is the way the energies combine.
