    Hi everyone,
today the Sun transits my natal Uranus, so I thought I have to start something new... how about a thread about astrology? Smile
Feel free to share your experiences on the subject.
I recently started seeing some features of my birthchart in the surrounding nature... Like I looked at a high and stony mountain and suddenly saw the face of the Moon there. I came across this Moon symbolism a couple of times.
I think the Moon is the key player in my chart... dealing with my emotions which can be quite Plutonian at times is key.
what about you? What is on your mind, astrologically speaking?

    Helloooo Meerie!

Mercury is squaring my uranus today telling me i need a lot of mental stimulation, meeting new pple and sharing ideas:idea: I feel rather scattered also, a lot of communication to deal with, peparing for a songprogram on friday etc.

With the moon so close to the ascendant you're wearing your feelings at your sleeve i suppose? Is your moon i cancer also? If so it's even more prominent since the moon rules cancer

Anyhow mercury and uranus are the perfect messengers for astrology.
I have a heavy plutonic chart also, sun mercury conj in scorpio square pluto in leo, libra moon sextile pluto, capricorn venus 144 pluto, pluto 45 uranus and the North node in my eigth - scorpiohouse.

"Luckily" Spica a benefic fixstar is conjunct my moon and jupiter sextiles sun/mercury, otherwise i've got a quite challenging chart, no wonder considering my traumatic experiences.

Have to go to work, but i'll be back

Hello my dear fellow plutonian Smile

I have not heard about Spica... it is a fix star so it is always in the same sign/position?
Do you look at the Arabian points too? like the fortune point ( i do not know if that s the correct English term) or the Vertex?
The vertex seems to be important in karmic relationships. I saw that when comparing my chart with that of my guru-soulmate.. His vertex was on my asc. and mine on his natal Neptune. No wonder there was trickery and illusions involved in our relationship Smile

Meerie, are you having trouble posting images here on the forum? If so, just locate the image online that you want to post (It should be in a place where the page won't expire, so for example a custom generated image of your chart, if you used a website to generate it, might expire. To avoid this, upload the image to a hosting site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com). Then, put {img}(link to image){/img} with regular brackets [ ] instead of the curvy ones.

Short answer, busy today, all the stars except for our sun is called a fixstar since they "move" very slowly.

    OK thanksSmile

Whoever directed me to this thread. I will elaborate on mercury retrograde after having breakfast and walking my dog. Anyway my telephone is not working today, a typical manifestation of the messenger playing pranks...

Also i wonder under what heading i will find this thread? Mercury again...

Also the "talk later" in my previous post from 2010 is a perfect manifestation of mercury retrograde, old friends, items and issues coming back to be revised, but i wonder how many will be interested, seems like very few of pple interested in TLOO are interested in astrology, strangely enough since we are all from the stars.

Someone though asked me in some other thread, forgot which one, to adress "mercury retrograde" so i'll be back.

You just blew my mind, transiten... you posted this at 4 h 04 at April 4th 2011.
    4 h 4 - and 4-4-4.
More of synchronicity is not possible. Kudos to you!
Edit: I just got a book "astrology and the secret of numbers". Have not had time to read it yet, though.

    Hi Meeri!

I get the 4/4 and 4 from adding 2+11, but the first 4 ? Time was 10.04, that gives 5?

Super to have your quick answer anywayHeart

    Meerie!

My life is an endless stream of synchronicities, meaningful coincidences, meetings with pple, double, triple quadruple digits, issues popping up in different mediums like an article in my newspaper about bullying and if it's OK to hit backBigSmile coinciding with your post Meerie.

Neptunic issues coinciding with neptune opposing my radix jupiter, one of the transits i had when i met the deceptive guru that brainwashed me, now coinciding with the -for me- depressing but interesting discussion about David Wilcock that i highly respect, even if i sometimes also get the feeling that he might be "too much".

I read the thread through and the traumatic feelings of have being deluded and having sold my soul to the devil reemerged. I think neither David nor Onething are perfect and there are a lot of things i could elaborate on this but i'm not going to.

I will choose to Dream On and try to keep my Heart open.

    Climb every mountain
    Ford every stream
    Follow every rainbow
    Til you find your dream

    A dream that will need
all the love you can give
    every day of your life
for as long as you live

The intellectual is always showing off
The lover is always getting lost
The intellectual runs away, afraid of drowning
The whole business of love is to drown in the sea
    Intellectuals plan their repose
    Lovers are ashamed to rest
The lover is always alone, even surrounded by people

This thread seems to be Pluto-centric, so I suppose I'll start there too. Smile

I am currently awaiting the final two of three (D,Rx,D) Pluto squares to my natal sun. I was cautious as I saw these coming. I only know one person who has experienced this transit and experienced major changes. Although the consolation is that he was in a negative place, had that destroyed, and rebuilt positively. So far for me, the first square went by with seeming normalcy. Shrug, it ain't over yet. .... I wonder if it's due to my asc being Scorpio (sun Aries) that I'm able to assimilate the energy easier, or maybe I'm not in need of a rebuild- haha, yeah right, Pluto doesn't play that way Wink

Meerie, you spoke of synastry... My venus conj wife's mars, my nnode conj her moon. Good stuff. Oh, and she is a scorp asc, Aries sun as well.

As for me, I like Uranus the best. Two degrees off my asc in the twelfth house, I seem to personally attach to it's qualities. I love the unusual. (hehehe, my wife says "Not sure what that says about me" ) ... I will say it is easy to get confused between my Uranus qualities and my Aquarius Moon qualities. I like them both.

A final thought- I have found, myself, that one of the strongest factors in my chart is the interpretation of my sun sign's planet in it's sign. For me, this is Mars in Cancer. ( this could just be a mars thing, but I lean more toward it being a sun sign's planet placement) Mars in Cancer, the natural house of home/foundations, it rings very true that my energies and desires are poured into creating a secure "home." So very true. Look up your own and let me know if it is strong in your life too.

Transiten, I have not changed the time on my computer, so it shows the time that is currently in USA (Kentucky?) Therefore it was 4 h 4.
Hehe, 3monkey, it is cool to have another persons planets touch your Nodes. I learnt if a personal planet of someone else touches your south node, that means there is a connection from a past life. I had that with my last boyfriend and he said he had the impression he knew me, right when we first met. Your chart sounds pretty Martial-plutonian, with Aries sun and Scorpio asc. And yet you have a relatively soft Mars, in Cancer. How does it translate in your life (apart from the house and home- issue)

I don't follow astrology, but I do use Tarot when I have decisions to make that are not necessarily clear.

I find it good, with whatever you practice, to burn white sage to clear negativity. I smudge my
tarot decks with the sage before I use them. I also mentally clear them. I do use pendulum dowsing as well.

Gemini Wolf, are you a gemini?

I also use Tarot cards and I Ching but learned from David Wilcock that pendulum and ouija board must be handeled with extreme caution since the body is involved and therefore much more susceptible to negative influence and also wishful thinking. Biblomancy-to open up a random page in a book- is also useful.

3DM, as pluto conjoined my sun/mercuryconjunction in scorpio i surely had an enormous breakthrough but i couldn't handle it very well...
Pluto is about control, power, deep changes, life and death and it's crucial to learn how to wield power and balance it with love.

Mars in cancer really have to be emotionally involved in what they're doing and more so perhaps with your sun signs ruler there

The nodes are very karmic points and i've got a T-square NN in aries opposite neptune in libra with the releasing point venus in capricorn, this one is more suited for "love made in heaven and art" then mundane love so i have a hughe lesson to learn about love..as all of us of course Wink

Nn in aries means i must finally "walk my own way" despite my sn in libra whining "but then i will en up alone"

Yeah, I am a gemini. It is the twin sign. I also read that my name, Thomas, is from old aramaic (sp?) meaning twin. Thanks for the advice on the pendulum.
I always question if I'm working with my higher self for my highest good. And I burn sage whenever I do pendulum work nowadays. And make sure I am grounded as well.

I used to dowse spiritual values called Bovis, which is an representation of how much spiritual energy something has.

Here's loads of dowsing charts if you ever get into it: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&so...i=&aql=&oq=

What about meeting some more people? You know KarlZon in Gothenburg? It looks like I am heading there on 3/6 to see George Kavassalis.

    http://www.fredsprojektet.nu/index.php?p=georgeisverige

Now, I am really sceptic about him and this seminar, but will try to attend if nothing extraordinary will keep me away. The most important thing for me with this trip is to meet other Wanderers. Do you want to come? KarlZon and I, and hopefully, bunch of other Wanderers are going for some beer afterwards and just socialising. I would loooove to meet you too, as it is not often I am in Gothenburg. I live in the east coast, Stockholm. Cool

@Meerie - are you coming for midsummer to experience some reeeeally pagan old viking traditions or not? BigSmile

EDIT: Uhum sorry for de-railing the thread by the way.

    Thanks for inviting me Ankh...

...but i don't " mercury retrograde" know if i will be here, most probably i'm with my father in Norrtälje on the eastcoast and maybe then i will attend the meeting in Stockholm...if not i would rather have a cider, not so fond of beer BigSmile

It's often difficult to decide things during mercury retrograde since information is missing. Also don't buy a house or sign a contract unless you've tampered with it before, in that case it might be "finally all the horses are home".

It's not that you can't do anything during a retrograde of course, but one might have to do things over and over again. Communicationdelays, computorproblems etc, misunderstandings but also some information might cast a new light on an old issue.

Also good to revise any issue, clear up "papermess" etc. and old friends you haven't seen for a long time may pop up. Also i contacted KarlZon as she came upon the forum since she lives in Gothenburg, without success but..."To everything turn turn turn, there is a season turn turn turn and a time for every purpose under heaven"

If you want to hear me sing you can go to www.mcv.se , click on "Våra artister" then "Visor och sånger" scroll down to my name Liliane Håkansson and click on the radio. Maybe it's an egothing and i will have a negative greeting for this Confused Wink but also one should not put ones  under the bushel...

what ive noticed about mercury retro is that my communication goes down the tubes. there are missed calls , misunderstanding mis everything . what transiten says is so true in my case, i wind up expending so much effort
trying to communicate correctly. a question how many times a year does mercury retro occur

Anyway as i said, i have a hughe lesson concerning fear and opening my Heart. Saturn is conj my ascendant from the 12:th house and he is also conj mars, talking about fear from the subconscious...Saturn is also square my Midheaven=The point of "social status" so he doesn't pave the way with gold for me, but i'm working on making "the old devil" my best friend; not by becoming a devil myself though BigSmile

At the same time i have tended to overidealize pple, my neptune/nn/venus T-square and had big codependency issues. Read David Wilcocks blog on codependency, spot on!

I also have a midpoint saying: Difficulties with manifesting ones artistic gifts, but the master is shaped in the resistance and that's a saturnian issue...

3 times norral, so you'd better get used to it and be flexible. It also depends on what aspects mercury makes to your own chart at the time; in what area and how much of it you will have.

Norral, I get the most use of astrology from 1) being aware of the planets' movements and 2) observing myself and those around me accordingly.

All those things are true about mercury, but not really applicable unless we practice observing. For instance, I have contract with a large hotel. The current GM of two years started during Merc Rx. He tends to stay out of sight. Without fail, as soon as Merc turns Rx, he is out and communicating, making his presence available. Without fail. It is very odd to me.

I am not a DW person myself, but have a tendency to overidealize some stuff which I only see as natural. For instance, DW "talks" to your heart, doesn't he? Maybe there is something missing in your heart which he talks to? I've been seeking for 19 years, and never felt satisfaction and tranquility that I felt when I found Ra material. I've stopped looking. Maybe I am not balanced in this issue, but Ra material confirmed me, which resulted in seeking and confirmation of my inner voice, which no entity/thing could fill/do before. So maybe overidealizing is just another tool in order to learn/enjoy/experience?

Ocean: "how do you know how astrology works?"

studying it repetitively for years. That's not a good answer, but looking back it was much more than study. Intuition and observations contributed alot. I started by reading books. Rereading them again and again. Playing with charts via software- I can play with dates and aspects for hours, it's like a video game for me. 'data. More data'. Eventually I started writing my own interpretations of houses and creating my own formulas for charts. If I were more disciplined, I would really like to write a book about astrology for parenting/children. First, I need to document my research Tongue

Then maybe you could finish two ? Tongue
Seriously I have been thinking mercury retro is just one big joker. He / she / it likes to tease us and see how we will react if we are thrown out of our routine. Maybe the stuff with me posting "how to do things the other way round" also fits in there?
by the way, I got mail, they wrote they would send me the T-shirt I ordered. At first I thougth they had got me wrong, but then I remembered I had sent in some of these codes last year, and when you have enough of them you get a T-shirt. I had already forgotten about it and now, like 9 or 10 months later I got the parcel with the T-shirt in it!
Maybe merc retr. also resolves issues that had been left unresolved... maybe when I sent in the codes, last year, Merc was also retrograde for example.

I think it works when you resonate with it and feel drawn to it... same as some people feel drawn to tarot, or I Ging or whatever.
It is just a tool. A method. I am not even sure it is a perfect method. Or maybe I just do not practice it perfectly enough.
I think if we had our intuition functioning 100%, we would not need any of these tools.

Your right Meerie. I became facinated with the houses of a chart. I wrote about five versions of how I see them. Then it turns out my words matched up with the archetypes described by Ra by way of tarot.

I would also like to say that I enjoy using astrology to view the present and past. It explains what was going on better. Predictions are too numerous to pinpoint. We can look ahead and see some major ones coming up, but pinpointing is like sports gambling.

Let's take the second house. I boil it down to personal talents, what you have at you disposal. This includes inherent physical abilities and earned wages. It is you Value. If you were dropped in a desert, the second house covers what's in your pockets, how many calories you have to burn, how strong your legs are to get you out, and how smart you are to figure it out. One thing that has dawned on me recently (probably part of Pluto squaring my sun, transiting Pluto in my second house)- I have come to realize that I make my value. I once viewed my occupational value as something ascribed to me by whoever employs me. Recently, my mind is absorbing the idea that my value is what I make of it and not any degree or past experience. I have the ability to position myself as invaluable. It is up to me to create my value and worth. (I'm not sure I'm articulating this properly)
