    Aries, Sagitarrius, Capricorn
Tell me their corresponding planet, house, quality, element, quadrant. Now. Go!

Just kidding. I started by identifying signs of people and enjoyed reading how our signs mesh. Linda Goodman's Love Signs was a starter for me simply cause I grabbed it off my mom's bookshelf. My sister is not a fan of Linda, and you remind me of my sister, so....
Another book that I still use as a reference is A Spiritual Aproach To Astrology by Myrna ____?

My sister knows as much as I do, and I think her knowledge stems directly from constant reading of current astrologers' website forecasts and whatnot.

cafeastrology.com is the easiest comprehensive site to navigate, IMO.

Capricorn. The goat. Sure footed with focus on reaching the top of the mountain. Each step is calculated. The next 10 steps are written down and followed as planned, there is no veering unless a loose rock slips. Once the peak is reached, they are satisfied, and look down to instruct lower goats on proper climbing methods.

Aries. The ram. Me. Aggressive mountain climber. Unlike the goat, will risk leaping a chasm on the way just for the thrill of it. The challenges are sought more than the peak. If the ram does reach the peak, he gets bored immediately with no more challenges.

Sidenote: equally "headstrong" are the goat and sheep/ram. The sheep, in true nature, will almost always win the head butting battle. Goats rear up on hind legs and clash horns in a downward motion. Sheep lower their heads and run forwards. You can see that the sheep will eventually nail the goat right in his belly.

What I noticed with Capricorn people is that they actually love the mountains, and mountain-climbing. like the Capricorn itself Tongue
And some of the Aries are literally the "runs with head against the wall" types.

    Hello all Starchildren Angel

One more coffee before i go...read my comment in the sungasm-thread about generalizing sunsigns...it was an answer to 3DMonkeys post about capricorn, only Confused has commented on it yet...it would be interesting to see the synastry between me and 3DM BigSmile I can feel som tension here Wink or maybe it's just a negative expression of my plutonic chart: Suspiscious mindCool

You know before pluto was discovered - synchronistically the same time
the atombomb over Japan- aries and scorpio were ruled both by mars. Now pluto is the collective aspect of mars hence the bad reputation of scorpio since collective energies are more difficult to handle and if misused the negative effect has more impact.

Also this is why scorpio is the only sign that can be mistaken for being a firesign like aries, leo and sagittarius; even astrologers have mistaken me for being a Leo or maybe Gemini since i'm a performer and when they look into my chart they see no planets in fire except for pluto in leo which i share with my whole generation. I also have an extremely strong mercury the ruler of gemini and virgo.

I'd love a fortright battle with an honest person with a lot of planets in Aries, i have a lot to learn from that sign and my Moon/Neptune conjunction is in Libra the airy sign opposed to aries and the opposites either attract or repel or both as Libra wants it to be..

But as Ankh always says: Are you not All thingsBigSmile

generalities? Labeling individuals with generalities is not what I have done. It's not in me to do such a thing. In beginning to understand the archetypical nature of astrology, we must start with a general idea of what we are looking at. Mercury retrograde and it's communication challenges has become a buzz word that greatly reduces Mercury to a singular dimension. Mercury is certainly much more than that. So be it that you, Transiten, enjoy fixating on it, I wouldn't go out of my way to deminish what you find relevant.

    ----

Scorpio. There's a other sun sign I'm am being forced to learn. I know, it is the most daring thing to say out loud that I take issues with Scorpio.

I am an Aries sun sign with a Scorpio ascendant. Pluto and Mars belong to me! Moo wha ha haha. That was a joke. But, seriously, the Aries in me doesn't like that I have to share Mars with Scorpio even after Pluto is discovered. I mean come on! Anteres (anti- Aries) is the brightest star in the center of Scorpio. :-) I poke fun. Anteres is supposedly anti-the color of Mars.

What have I learned about Scorpio? For awhile I wanted to believe Scorpio was the true opposite of Aries, and not Libra. Scorpio is feminine night force while Aries is masculine day force. What is more opposite? This line of questioning eventually brought me to conclude how similar these two really are.

Few, if any, ever see the true inner Scorpio. They are water, and they reside at the deepest level of the ocean. Many books tell us that scorpios are the clowns, always sarcastic, never saying what's on their minds, instead every thought is a mask. This sign of the deep is only recognized by the bubbles it sends to the surface. Bubbles that tAke your eyes away from the source. With the deep water as their playground, it is their territory if you ever get to visit. If you are a friend, the thrill can be exhilirating. If an enemy, drawing you to the deep darkness renders you easy prey; you will never see it coming, literally, and you may never even realize the blow came from them.

How is this anything like Aries? I asked myself. We are both warriors of a different discipline. Aries = Mars. Fight for the joy of fighting. Challenges and confrontations are a place of comfort. Like Scorpio, you can be sure that Aries is relentless in "battle". Not stubborn by definition, but headstrong. Once an Aries makes a decision, all determination goes for it, walls in the way or anything else.

Here is the difference and the similarity simultaneous. Excellent warriors in their own element. Between the two, an Aries will demand Scorpio to come out into the bright sunlight for all to see and expose ourselves in this battle. Scorpio won't, and they will challenge Aries to come into the deep where they will have the strength. Scorpio will wait, and they won't forget- maybe they forget consciously but unconscious programming remains. They will attack in any vulnerable area to "win". An Aries hasn't the patience nor the cunning. Aries is fine with everyone watching. Scorpio doesn't want anyone to see.

The positives of Scorpio are deep emotional involvement. If they offer help, they take on the full load with the person they are showing love to. The FULL load. It's part of the reason for the masks, if they took on everyones burdens, as is their nature, the load would be too heavy to bear. They are ones that need frequent recharging in solitude.

That's beautifully said 3DM but also you know the highest symbol for scorpio is not the eagle that soars above all and sees through everything BUT the Dove of Peace. Actually the day of the "sungasm" as i had my wonderful meditation/sunbathing union with the Sun God Ra (even if that's not the Ra of Bring4th Wink a pigeon almost flew into my room since my window was open, but landed on the windowsill! I never experienced that before and this made me think of my radix T-square between libra Neptune/aries karmic North node and capricorn Venus with Venus as the releasing point of energy: This constellation is a real challenge to love and relationships here on earth and suits better for "Love made in heaven" or the arts and truly, music and art saved my life once and now spirituality as to be found in TLOO Heart

I've been heavily engaged in the peacemovement but since there was a war going on inside myself i had to have a total scorpio breakdown and start my life all over again...and i'm thankful for the heavy catalyst i went throgh.

See you in 2 weeks, I'm off to Stockholm and as i turn off the computor time will be 13.33-it even makes rhymes Smile

Generalities? But 3DM, these are all generalities we are dealing with in astrology.
You cannot really practice it without generalizing. To say that Aries is a warrior is also generalizing.
It is just that when you look into a birthchart with all the planets and houses that you see the differences. not all Aries are the same, not all Capricorn people are the same, etc.
Have fun in Stockholm, Transiten! are you going to see Ankh?

Meerie! i was the one saying 3DM was generalizing over capricorn int the Tree thread, and also adressed exactly what you just say here. i might ask Monica to move my post from there to here!

Yes hopefully we will find a suitable time to meet, that would be thrilling really! Hmm wonder about Ankhs chart...venus/mars aspects and a strong uranus maybe?

Take care everybody and use the aries energies at hand just now to start all kinds of positive projects and new technologies!

Here is some fun astrology information.

The moon completes it cycle every 29 and a fraction days. The moon represents our emotion and internal feelings. This is also our home life.

Saturn completes it's cycle every 29 and a fraction years. Saturn is our teacher. It passes through all aspects of our lives, teaching us various, necessary lessons. It also represents our place in public society. Some call this career. I'd say Saturn energies help qualify our public personas. When we reach thirty, we know ourselves better than ever, and a new lesson cycle begins.

I think the moon and saturn day/year correlation is neat. Like how the sun and moon are the same size from our perspective on earth. It's more than coincidence, but we all knew that.

Again, that's something my sister would say, verbatim.

Nothing that applies to all. You really should get an ephemeris of your birth and look at daily aspects. serennu.com

I could do it for you, but then you might become my sister Wink
Come to think of it, who doesn't get along with a Sagittarius? Unless they are directly angry at you, they are very friendly. Anyone, thoughts?
