Hi Seren88 and welcome. This is great questioning regarding 3D life on Earth. There has been much discussion here on the subject of how to treat our 2D brothers and sisters. Here is one recent thread that deals with cockroaches:

I live in Arizona outside the city. There is a lot of wildlife around me, which makes it impossible to have an outdoor garden or the deer and little rabbits and squirrels will get it all.
So I am laying a paved patio and will be putting a greenhouse on it. My point is, briefly, wherever you live, there should be some solutions that support living in harmony with your environment.
Also, there are many organic farmers who seem to be able to deal with this sort of problem, although I don't know how kind they are to the little insects. You may have already researched that. Anyway good luck.
