You are not alone! Many people have experienced this.
And, many people have found that when they added foods rich in essential fatty acids (raw nuts, seeds, avocadoes, etc.) that hunger and craving for meat vanishes.
I eat lots of raw nuts, seeds, and avocados already; they do not affect my desire for meat.
By the way, I don't drink soda at all. Can't stand the stuff.
