You Are WHAT You Eat - BrownEye - 01-24-2011 Quote:ACCORDING to a common, rather simplistic notion, we are what we eat. On a far more empirical level, epidemiological studies reveal a connection between diet and adverse health consequences. Many observed differences in cancer rates worldwide, including incidences of colon and breast cancer, are linked to variations in human diets.https://www.llnl.gov/str/FoodSection1.html Quote:Cooked and processed foods are so hard on the body that they actually bring on a condition called digestive leucocytosis. The body considers cooked food to be a foreign substance, an unwanted invader and eating cooked food causes the white blood cell count to rise!http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/enzymes.shtml#ixzz18UWjBjvP Quote:The Right To Know Quote:Dangers From Meat Quote:Cannibals and Mad Cows Quote:Deaths associated with choking Quote:B12 Quote:Canines Redundant Quote:Intestinal Toxemia Quote:Removing Worms From the Brain[/quote]Creates allergies Cow’s milk allergies create problems in the respiratory and/or digestive tracts with symptoms like post-nasal drip, sinusitis, excess secretion of mucous, catarrh, asthma, eczema, hayfever, vomiting, bronchitis, urticaria, sleeplessness, headaches, pimples, oedema (water retention), gas, constipation, diarrhoea, spastic colon, abdominal pain, and persistent colic. The allergies are caused by casein and beta lactoglobulin. When (cow’s) diary products are removed from the diet, the problems often clear up completely. Hormones and antibiotics Cows get injected and/or fed synthetic hormones to increase milk production. To prevent and treat mastitis, cows are fed antibiotics.Guess where this all lands up…in our bodies. It has been linked to increased incidence of cancer, especially breast cancer. http://www.coach-coaching-stars.com/osteoporosis.html So, do we need to drink milk to get our calcium? In the pasteurization process, the structure of the milk and nutrients are changed and the calcium becomes indigestible - our bodies cannot assimilate it. Many people in their older years feel they need to drink milk to keep their bones strong. In all actuality, pasteurized milk leeches calcium from the bones. So not only does it not prevent osteoporosis, it actually can cause it! Studies show that the countries with higher consumptions of milk and milk products also have a higher rate of broken bones and osteoporosis. Milk is not our best source of calcium. http://ezinearticles.com/?Do-You-Need-Milk?&id=76652 Soy - The Gender Bender Phytates, found in all seeds and grains, are particularly high in soybeans. Phytates, cannot be destroyed by heating or soaking and prevent the uptake of essential minerals in the digestive tract, especially zinc, but also magnesium, iron and calcium and is most likely the reason why strict vegetarians often suffer mineral deficiencies. Soy is high in very potent ‘antinutrients’ which cannot be entirely eliminated during processing and cause stunted growth by blocking the function of the enzyme trypsin. As trypsin is involved in the breakdown of protein it becomes obvious that replacing protein meat meals with soy is self defeating. Trypsin is added to commercial baby food for that purpose; to break down protein molecules too large for an infant to digest.rians often suffer mineral deficiencies. Soy contains high levels of phytoestrogens especially genistein and diadzen. These are toxic endocrine disrupting isoflavone phytoestrogens and consumption may result in thyroid dysfunction leading to lethargy, fatigue with unexplained weight gain or weight loss and associated problems. Some women who consume large quantities of soy based products have noticed hair thinning or hair loss which is distressing, but the symptoms disappear and hair growth returns to normal when soy is excluded from their diet. Infants The estrogen factor means that babies fed on soy formula will take in the equivalent of five birth control pills daily. In 1992 the Swiss health service estimated that 100 grams of soy protein provided the estrogenic equivalent of one birth control pill. Infants and small children fed on soy protein display early maturation and precocious behaviour with a documented case of one two year old girl developing pubic hair and breasts. Infant soy based formula has been banned in the UK unless with the recommendation of a medic. Soy has been widely embraced by food manufacturers as a cheap alternative to traditional food for reducing costs and increasing profit margins. Meat content of many foods can be reduced and replaced with textured vegetable protein and while wheat is rising in price, flour can easily be mixed with soy isolate powder. http://www.justmindpower.com/Soy.html Gender-specific associations between soy and risk of hip fracture http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19720865 COMMON TABLE SALT Common table salt is poison that has nothing in common with natural salt. "Chemically cleaned" table salt is sodium chloride, an unnatural chemical form of salt that your body recognizes as something completely foreign. Dried at over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, the excessive heat alters the natural chemical structure of the salt. Add to this the toxic additives used in table salt. Iodine and fluoride we have been convinced into believing are necessary to maintain health. Calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and aluminum hydroxide are often added to improve the ability of table salt to pour. Aluminum in table salt is a light alloy that deposits into your brain, believed to be a potential cause of Alzheimer's disease. Ingesting excessive amounts of sodium chloride in table salt can contribute to problems like cellulite build up, rheumatism, arthritis and gout, kidney and gall bladder stones. http://www.livingwithrheumatoidarthritis.com/Table-Salt.html FASTING "One quarter of what you eat keeps you alive; the other three-quarters keeps your doctor alive." http://www.doctoryourself.com/juicefast.html Juice Fasting Liquid is the only substance that will pass through the lining of your stomach. When you juice, you are sending all those vitamins and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, and in turn they are flushing out the toxins that are laying in wait to sabotage your good health and forces them into your bloodstream to be removed through excrement, your lungs, and your skin. http://hubpages.com/hub/My-Juice-Fast-Journey NEOTAME Just when we thought that buying “Organic” was safe, we run headlong into the deliberate poisoning of our organic food supply by the FDA in collusion with none other than the folks who brought us Aspartame. NutraSweet, a former Monsanto asset, has developed a new and improved version of this neurotoxin called Neotame. Neotame has similar structure to aspartame — except that, from it’s structure, appears to be even more toxic than aspartame. This potential increase in toxicity will make up for the fact that less will be used in diet drinks. Like aspartame, some of the concerns include gradual neurotoxic and immunotoxic damage from the combination of the formaldehyde metabolite (which is toxic at extremely low doses) and the excitotoxic amino acid Neotame does not have to be included in ANY list of ingredients! So, if you buy processed food, whether USDA Certified Organic or not, that food most likely will contain Neotame because it is cost-effective, and since no one knows it is there, there is no public backlash similar to what is happening with Aspartame. A win/win situation! Troubleshooting: Avoiding and Overcoming Problems in Raw & Living-Foods Diets http://www.beyondveg.com/billings-t/troublesh/troubleshooting-1a.shtml http://www.living-foods.com/articles/largebeans.html Quote:raw foodists eat mostly organic food, which is 80% to 300% more nutritionally dense - loaded with available electrons/energy. As your body learns to absorb this additional nutrition and energy you'll be less hungry, getting more energy from what you do eat, and eat less. This ultimately can reduce your food costs, as well as your health care costs, far below what is was when you were eating empty calories filled with the acidic toxins.http://www.rawfoodlife.com/Articles___Research/Organic_vs_commercial_food/organic_vs_commercial_food.htm Published in the JOURNAL OF APPLIED NUTRITION, VOL 45-1, 1993, © International Academy of Nutrition & Preventive Medicine RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Namaste - 01-24-2011 Thanks pickle. Interesting. Myself and my partner are on the path of moving to a raw diet. It takes time, education and patience. Not there yet :¬) RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - BrownEye - 01-24-2011 I am moving to where the food is. This country is making it hard enough to eat right. It is only going to get harder for me. I just put up a vision board in my kitchen to help the process move faster. This post is as far as I got a while ago. At some point I will add more to it. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - mikesc - 01-25-2011 I'm of the opinion that perhaps you worry just a little too much. There may be some real health benefits from not seeing life as full of things that can hurt you. Even if there isn't, that perception is probably still affecting the quality of your experience of life far more than the foods that you eat. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - zenmaster - 01-25-2011 Food is information. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - BrownEye - 01-25-2011 (01-25-2011, 09:48 AM)zenmaster Wrote: Food is information. Well I guess technically food would be considered experience. I did a post about experience accumulating in order to form your self. I will post it tonight, see what kind of thoughts it garners. As for the issue of fear, I have no fear for my self, I do however have 4 others under my care. I will do my best for them, rather than my self. They are what is important to me. I should add, my Soul seems to think that food is high priority for my family. I have no idea why. I brought up the question after thinking that I put way too much importance in pure food. At that point I decided to find out more of what my Soul wants, that happened to be practically paradise for me, where the food is. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Joseph326 - 01-26-2011 I can relate to your feelings about food. For me as well, this is far from being fearful. I realize that I am an infinite being and have dissolved any fear of death or illness. I do, however, have a very strong feeling from the core of my being that the choices I make regarding food are of utmost importance right now. I have gone from someone who would be hard pressed to figure out how to cook a grilled cheese sandwich to preparing almost all of my meals from scratch. I enjoy every step from working in the garden or at the farm down the road, to making homemade yogurt. What I eat has to intuitively 'feel' right both before and after eating it, and I adjust my diet accordingly. Normally these questions have to be answered: 1) where did the food come from? Was it harvested in harmony with nature and with the plant or animal involved in making it? (this automatically weeds out the stuff with pesticides, hormones, gmo, etc.) 2) Is this something my body needs and can make efficient use of right now? 3) How do I feel, physically and energetically, before and after eating it? Would there be a point in eating the most nutritious, expensive, certified organic superfood if I did not need to eat it at that time? If I did not need to, but did anyway, that would be a disservice to someone who does need it, and also in my mind disrespectful to the animal or plant that just died. This is why I feel it is so important to have open communication with your body, mind, and spirit at any given time. Body can and will tell you what it needs, if you listen. Mind can interpret these needs and help the body find the appropriate foodstuff to satisfy them. Spirit provides abundance of what you need, and links you to the food you are eating. Let it know how thankful and respectful you are, that it may continue to provide and so you may be at peace with the animals/plants. I do personally believe that the most important choice is not what to eat, but how we go about doing so. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - fairyfarmgirl - 01-26-2011 Good Greetings All: Agreed Joe! Agreed! It is so important to be in communication with the Body. It is also equally important to understand we are creators. Thus, when faced with "factory" foods--- heal the foods using intention and prayer. The food will change to meet your needs. When planting seeds do the same and mix a little of your DNA with the seed either a hair or saliva and intend that this plant grows and produces the perfect nutrition for your DNA. It is old old old ancient way of planting and being in co-creation with the Flora and Fauna Kingdoms as well as EA(rth)-Gaia. I planted cukes using the method above last summer and they were the very most nutritious cukes that me and my family had ever eaten and very filling after just 1 cuke eaten. Delicious. My body guided me to cease eating an high argine foods, gluten, lactose bearing products, and anything packaged in plastic. The rest I can handle with intention and creating morphogentic fields. I also tend to buy everything that I am able packaged in paper, glass or not at all. I go to great lengths to avoid plastics. Some people are recieving strict diet recommendations from thier higher selves and/or guides. The information given at times is for the reciever of that information. However, there is much to be learned by listening to the guidance of others. It depends upon what Galactic Group Gene Pool you have as to what your dietary needs are. If one can ascertain this then it becomes clear what is best to eat chemically wise and when combined with intentional eating the foods are truly from the God(dess). fairyfarmgirl RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Meerie - 01-26-2011 Fairy, can you elaborate on what Galactic Gene Pools have which dietary needs, according to your knowledge? I am particularly interested in the Venusians. Much appreciated RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - fairyfarmgirl - 01-26-2011 Good Greetings Meerie and All: This is what I am currently learning. It is my salt for what it is worth. I Bless you all! Galactic Gene Pool: Feline-Sirian-Human Carian-Bird - Pleiadian-Human Human--Feline-Ape Reptilianan-Feline-Human The base that your genetic structure originates from will create a proclivity toward: veganism, omnivore, carnivore (very rare on Earth) and or vegetarian As we shift into greater expansion at times Animal Protein will be needed for some of the races. I see this as natural as your cat eating a mouse or an alligator gnoshing on a bird. It is is in the genes. As the genetic structure expands-- as a natural consequence of the expansion there will be less and less need to eat animal protein, then vegetable protein and evenually protien will be forgone except during healing or pregnancy. Ayurvedic Classification of Body Type and Suggested foods and habits compliments the Wisdom that I recieved. http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/2/a/Dosha.htm http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/2/a/ayurveda.htm Venusians generally are usually Kapha. The grains are very difficult for A Venusian or Kapha or Human-Feline body type to digest and assimilate. Usually grains especially Gluten shifts the body into acidity, obesity and all the health woes that go with both obesity and acidic body environments In order for disease to thrive 3 things must be in place: belief system, acidic body, attitude. It is possible to have an acidic body and live a life with some minor and annoying health complaints with out a body breakdown... but when the two other factors such as belief system (I am old thus I wil be sick etc.) and Attitude (fear feelings) creates disease and greater body breakdown. When the body is breaking down it is physically discomforting as the body is really breaking down. So to shift from this 3 changes must occur: Diet must shift to an 1. alkaline diet--- high lysine bearing foods tend to be the most alkaline , 2. Belief System examination and Correction (inner work). 3. Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude and shift into Self-Love. When all 3 components are in place the body rapidly returns to good health. The body is designed to heal itself when fed the proper prana and food. There is also much to be said about the body type being beautiful as it is structured. In modern Western and especially USA society, venusian women are seen as being too much. This is largely due to the media examples of rail thin and emaciated women who really look like little girls in woman bodies. It is what I call the princess syndrom where the society controllers wish to create a culture of rejection toward any type of body type that is associated with the Earth Mother. The Earth Mother is always depicted as a Venusian Body Type. earth mother goddess 2.jpg (Size: 5.27 KB / Downloads: 0) venus_statue.jpg (Size: 8.57 KB / Downloads: 0) I bless you with Love-- fairyfarmgirl RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Meerie - 01-26-2011 Thank you Fairy, this fits the picture well. I always feel that I increase weight when eating too many carbs. (Animal) protein has helped me to loose weight. The feline approach is very fitting. At times I feel like a cat myself. For a time after my awakening I could eat not too many vegetables, feeling that I would turn into a vegetable if I did LOL. I am not really aware of where Venus fits in with your description? Is this Sirius or what greater galactic pool does she belong to? Thank you and blessings, Meerie RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - fairyfarmgirl - 01-26-2011 Good Greetings Meerie and All: The Venus is named for the Star constellation from which the original venus-- Inanna appeared during. It is a calender reference originally more so than an origination. Here is how I see Venus who is really Inanna from the Felines and Repitian Lines that then combined with the Human-ape-Pleiandian Lines to create the iconic Venus body type. So yes, Venus-Aprodite--HathorIshtar-Astarte-Inanna was half feline. She is at times depicted as a cow with feline features. This is due to the sacred cow that is central to animistic spirituality of antiquity and modern times as well. Here is the best article on the mythology that I have read thus far. http://www.hranajanto.com/goddessgallery/inanna.html **Eating a Kapha Diet does entail eating vegetables and fruits. It is heavy on fruits and veggies and a minimal animal protein and very low with the grains and carbs. Kapha body types (also know as Venusian body types) really benefit from raw pickled veggies-- truly pickled the way nature intended. nourishing traditons fairyfarmgirl RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Joseph326 - 01-26-2011 As a sidenote, I would like to add that it seems the body will want a different diet at the beginning phases of 'conscious eating' than it will require normally after that. For example, I was guided towards fasting, raw fruits and veggies to the point of rejecting all processed food, grains and animal products. After a few months I am okay with raw or near raw animal products as close to nature as possible (raw eggs, raw milk, yogurt and meat from deer that I thankfully and humanely harvested). Still need a high percentage of raw plant material in proportion to animal though. It just seems that my body guided me through a period of purification from my years of poor diet, and now I can properly assimilate nutrition again. If I eat something that is out of alignment, I feel the effects immediately as lethargy, headache, nausea as I feel the body deal with the toxins and low vibrations. I would suggest sprouting grains before consuming if they give you problems like they do for me. Then the energy and nurtrition is activated and available for your use. I have found organically grown, sprouted quinoa (complete protein, for vegetarians), flaxseed, chia, and buckwheat to be best for me. Sprouted sunflower and pumpkin seeds are good in small quantities too. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - BrownEye - 01-26-2011 Look at this link and what experience might be, then think of how the "food" experience also builds the YOU. http://bring4th.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=2153 Something I will add is that our bodies will not function properly without being at full mineral capacity. The body can create vitamins, but it cannot create a mineral. The most highly assimilable minerals come from plant sources. Most solid based mineral supplements are too big to absorb at a cellular level, and instead store up in muscle tissue. Which then leads to toxicity. Congress is aware that almost all citizens are mineral deficient. These deficiencies will cause mental issues like schizophrenia, which might not be bad for some, for others it will seem like you have special abilities (01-26-2011, 01:51 AM)Joseph326 Wrote: I do, however, have a very strong feeling from the core of my being that the choices I make regarding food are of utmost importance right now.Yes, I don't know why food comes up as top priority for my family, but it does. On the other hand, I used to be able to eat dairy products and wheat products in any amount without problem; now, they give me heartburn. Pizza, one of my lifelong favorite foods, makes me miserable, and I've had to give it up. I'm blood type "O", and produce a lot of stomach acid. I raise a big garden (starting this spring, it will be two big gardens), and eat a lot of vegetables and fruits; raw when possible. Within the next couple of years, I expect my diet to consist of mostly vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish. I don't see myself ever becoming vegetarian, because after 3 days without red meat, I become ravenously, insanely hungry, no matter how much of other foods I eat. At that point, the only help for me is a piece of rare beef (or other red meat) the size of a dictionary. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Monica - 01-26-2011 (01-26-2011, 02:30 PM)Eddie Wrote: produce a lot of stomach acid. Do you have acid reflux ('heartburn')? Cutting-edge doctors now assert that, contrary to popular belief, heartburn is actually a sign of too little stomach acid, not too much. When the body's organs and tissues are too acidic (from too much acidifying foods like meat, sodas, sugar, etc.), then the stomach becomes too alkaline, and fails to digest foods properly, resulting in stomach acids and incompletely-digested foods to be burped back up. Until recently, the remedy was thought to be antacids, but now these doctors say that this only makes the problem worse in the long run. The solution is actually to alkalize the body, with more raw fruits and vegetables, alkaline water, and less meat (and soda should be eliminated completely). Many people following this regimen notice complete alleviation of sour stomach/heartburn immediately, often within a couple of days. This happened to me. And, many people have found that when they added foods rich in essential fatty acids (raw nuts, seeds, avocadoes, etc.) that hunger and craving for meat vanishes. You tend to eat more than you need, and certain parasites thrive on meat/dairy. I still carry parasites that I picked up from meat over ten years ago Once I am not tied to my job I will do a total parasite cleanse and see if I can get rid of them. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - Joseph326 - 01-26-2011 Another idea I have had some success with is sun-gazing. You can get energy directly from the sunlight without consuming another creature for it. This is a process that must be started very gradually, but when is very safe when it is. It involves absorbing sunlight through the eyes and the pineal gland in the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. The atmosphere blocks UV rays during this time due to the angle of the sun, allowing one to look directly at the sun. My eyesight and night-vision has actually improved and I dont need to consume as much food when I am doing this often. Has been a bit hard in the winter though so I have been eating more now. Also helps your brain regulate sleep cycles, and get a more restful sleep. Eddie, have you tried raw milk? Store-bought processed milk is "dead" and the enzymes in it have been destroyed, in contrast to fresh raw milk which already contains the enzymes the body needs to digest it (example: lactase which breaks down lactose so that it can be digested, possibly circumventing "lactose intolerence"). Often, the cows on small local raw milk farms are treated MUCH better than in the mass farming practices of large dairy corporations. Depending on the farm, they are fed a more nutritious diet of grass and hay instead of gmo corn feed or protein from their dead brethren. RE: You Are WHAT You Eat - fairyfarmgirl - 01-26-2011 Good Greetings: We are also lactose intolerant and Gluten sensisitive. I think that this is a sign that the foods have been messed with. We tried Raw Milk and found that the children liked it but still lactose intolerance for the adults. For my husband especially it was unpleasant. Further, Raw Milk is super expensive. For just 1/2 gallon it is nearly 10.00! Outrageous for cows that eat grass and a farm that is not even 20 miles away! I long for the days when just walked down to the farm bought a gallon of just milked moo and paid your dollar... and brought your own container. We can still eat cheese limitedly. I now use it like a spice--- to flavor a dish rather than make it the main course. We have found Kombucha tea to be very helpful in replenishing beneficial fauna and flora in the gut and body. As well as being chock full of minerals and vitamin B's! Everyone loves it but hubby is the only one that we buy it for as he is the one recovering his health... everyone else is very healthy. I try to avoid eating processed food. I have found it takes too much energy to repair. I am exhausted before I can take a bite! I do however have a weakness for french fries. Eden is something that we create not find. The Eden exists within us and comes through us as we create it into being. Hmmm....by 'lots' do you mean enough for a main course? Sometimes a cleanse (fruit or green juice fast) for a week or so, totally resets the taste buds as well as acclimates the body to lighter foods. Whenever I've done a cleanse, I felt very light afterwards, and cravings were gone. These are just ideas... (01-26-2011, 07:18 PM)Eddie Wrote: By the way, I don't drink soda at all. My mother tells me that I wouldn't even drink it when I was a baby. I had to take calcium pills as a child, because I wouldn't drink milk. The aroma of milk nauseates me....always has. My natural inclination is to a hunter-gatherer type of diet. I actively forage outdoors for all kinds of wild edible plants; I have done this since I was a small child. I can find stuff to eat almost anywhere; many people would be surprised to learn what is growing in their yard, that is edible. I was also an extremely avid hunter and fisherman for most of my life. I don't do much of that anymore, but I still eat meat and fish. (01-26-2011, 07:25 PM)Bring4th_Monica Wrote: Hmmm....by 'lots' do you mean enough for a main course? Why, yes, in some cases. I, until recently, had a drawer in my desk at work where I kept: raw pumpkin seeds raw cashews raw almonds assorted unsulphured dried fruits (no avocados, though ) I eat more of that sort of stuff in a week, than the average American eats in a year. And a green smoothie for breakfast most days. Actually, come to think of it, I eat almost no processed food except for buns for hamburgers or barbecue when I eat out. As your body learns to absorb this additional nutrition and energy you'll be less hungry, getting more energy from what you do eat, and eat less. This ultimately can reduce your food costs, as well as your health care costs, far below what is was when you were eating empty calories filled with the acidic toxins.http://www.rawfoodlife.com/Articles___Research/Organic_vs_commercial_food/organic_vs_commercial_food.htm Published in the JOURNAL OF APPLIED NUTRITION, VOL 45-1, 1993, © International Academy of Nutrition & Preventive Medicine |
