Some people need meat to stay healthy, but I'd axe the salami. It's one of the most fattening meats there is. If you want to eat meat, you're better off with turkey, chicken or lean beef. I'd avoid pre-packaged meats, as they have all kinds of additives in them, and even when it comes to fresh, in-store meats it's good to read the label and see if anything has been added to it.
My main advice is to not totally starve or deprive yourself, as this will almost ALWAYS lead you to binge. If you want a food really bad, have it, but just a small portion of it- about a third of what you would usually eat. Or try healthier alternatives- if you're craving something sweet, try fruit or pure dark chocolate over a snickers bar. Try to have a balanced diet- eating nothing but lettuce is going to make you sick. Plenty of whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean meats and/or beans and other proteins is the way to go in my book. Also, eating several small meals a day instead of trying to cram it all into three meals really helps me. Eat whenever you get hungry (actually hungry, not just bored) and eat only until you're full. After eating one serving, if you want seconds, wait about 20 minutes for your stomach to catch up. A lot of times I'll realize I'm already full when I do this.
Just simple stuff, but it's what has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
