Xlsander, the subject of weight loss is highly controversial, with as many opinions as there are 'experts'! So many different diets out there, each one claiming to be the one that works!
I realize you are following the low-carb diet, but from what you have shared with us, that hasn't completely worked for you. The high blood pressure is a sure sign the diet isn't altogether healthy. So, I will now add my own opinion to the list.
I strongly disagree with the high-protein, low-carb diet. Yes, it can trigger weight loss initially, but it's not healthy long-term. The heavy animal protein and fats contribute to high blood pressure, cancer, heart diseases, and an acidic, mucoid condition that clogs up the colon and makes it nearly impossible to lose the rest of the weight permanently.
Being a vegetarian doesn't guarantee weight loss. There are fat vegetarians, usually those who eat a lot of dairy products.
But there are no fat vegans (unless maybe they live on junk food, I guess it's possible, but I've never met any).
However, there are NO fat raw vegans! Period. NONE.
It is impossible to be fat on a raw vegan diet.
Raw vegan is defined as unlimited raw fruits and vegetables, with moderate amounts of nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains and legumes. You can eat as much as you want, the weight will drop off, and you will feel fabulous! Oh and you probably won't ever catch colds and flus anymore.
I know these sound like bold promises but it's true. There is no question that the raw vegan diet works, for virtually everyone. In my opinion, the whole blood type thing is a myth. There isn't a question whether the raw vegan diet works or not. The question is only whether people are educated enough about it to do it properly, and stick with it. It's hard in the beginning, but once you feel so fantastic, it becomes easier!
I have done it before and am in the transition from vegan to raw vegan, and wow, the weight just drops off, energy increases, and I feel amazing! I don't have much weight to lose but there are plenty of people who have lost massive amounts of weight, very rapidly, following a raw vegan diet. Just do a search on youtube for 'raw vegan weight loss' and you will find lots.
The reason the raw vegan diet works is that the diet is no longer mucoid. Animal foods are very mucous-producing which clogs up the colon and when the colon is mucoid, it's nearly impossible to lose weight long-term. Another reason is that the raw vegan diet is very alkalizing. When the body is slightly alkaline, the body releases its stored acidic waste, which is stored in the fat cells. The fat cells are no longer needed, so they drop away.
If this diet doesn't appeal to you, then you might consider drinking alkaline water. Many people see the weight drop off when they get a water ionizer machine. Not always, though. Diet still comes into play. And you cannot drink sodas at all if you want alkaline water to work, because they cancel each other out. Soda is the most acidic thing in the world and very deadly. Once I learned what sodas do, I put them in the same category as cigarettes. I would definitely recommend eliminating sodas 100%, whatever you do.
Getting the body alkaline causes weight to drop off. It's almost impossible for it not to. Raw vegan diet and/or alkaline water are 2 ways to accomplish this, and they work even better together. For many people one works without the other, but add them together, and it's pretty much a sure thing.
Another suggestion is a Cellerciser. It's an amazingly easy exercise method that works out all the cells. The Cellerciser works 1000 times better than the cheapie rebounders you can get at the store. I resisted buying one for 2 years because I already had a cheap one, and wow, I sure wish I had gotten the good one sooner! It's amazing! You can contact one of our members, feibelal, for info on this. He's the one who told me about it and I love mine! (You can ask feibelal about raw vegan diet and alkaline water also.)
I can provide lots of resources, if you decide to pursue this. For now, I suggest just doing a youtube search on raw vegan to see all the wonderful weight loss and vibrant health testimonials. They are very inspiring!
Good luck!
