perhaps it is a little like with hot and cold, we use the reference point of our perception through the physical body´s need within the spectrum of temperature. But there is no absolute zero temperature, thus there really is no such thing as cold in a universal point of view, only varying degrees of heat. Maybe it is the same with unconditional love?
edit: Well there is something we define as absolute zero, but the definition is misleading as; "The kinetic energy of the ground state cannot be removed."
