yes i was raised in the episcopal church. i have always been fascinated by the bible and get a lot out of reading it. like u ruthie i dont practice a conventional form of christianity, i believe in the living christ and in becoming the christ in action. and prayer certainly assists us in that effort. what i am not is an absolutist . the sacred writings of every religion are meant as a guide imho and that is what i use them as. we take them in and then we add our own unique twist to what we have read. that is how spirit evolves i believe. things didnt stop 2000 years ago and christ is just as alive today and present as he was back then. and he looks to work in us and thru us is the way i interpret it.
