Yes, there are animal studies - did you not see the videos I sent you?

I knew there was a reason I respected you!

Ah, I see. One of my doctors has the water available on certain days and times only. People have to accommodate his staff if they want to get water.

That can be easily offset by referrals. Put up a sign saying you're giving away this water, and that alone will attract new clients. Guaranteed! It has a heavy rep.

That's a good way of looking at it! Whenever I'm feeling bummed about life, I try to remind myself of those years spent in a tiny gray cube. That gets me feeling appreciative really quickly!
(12-03-2012, 11:10 PM)Tenet Nosce Wrote: Hmm, yeah that might help. Although the thing is... people nowadays sort of expect- even demand- some sort of gimmick.
Some people. Not all people.
(12-03-2012, 11:10 PM)Tenet Nosce Wrote: With me- there is no gimmick. You come into the office, and I give you two hours of my undivided attention. Somewhere along the way, I offer some education, a theory as to why you are experiencing symptoms, and make suggestions as to what you can do about it.
Sounds like you're offering a great service!

That's the part I get stuck on... what exactly am I promoting, anyway? Why does it even need to be promoted? The results (or lack thereof) should speak for themselves, right?
You and I are in the same boat, in a way. Sometime I wonder why I don't have people standing in line to get this water, like they do at many other places. I seem to do better when I just put out the vibe and let the Universe send people my way.
Then again, we do still have to do our part. The challenge is in finding that sweet spot between promoting our service and allowing people to find us.
A seminar on referral marketing taught me "Our job isn't to convince anyone to use our product/service...our job is to find the people who want our product/service, but just don't know it yet."
(12-03-2012, 11:10 PM)Tenet Nosce Wrote: That's true. But it's even more basic than that. Some people just can't tell when they're being scammed. Others sort of demand to be scammed... it's like they enjoy it or something! They just go from one scam to the next, and show little interest in actually doing the work necessary to achieve the result they are looking for.
That's why people like chem1 stay in business...they are predators...they take advantage of the gullible. They use big words - technobabble - and prey on those who are easily impressed. It's despicable but as long as there are people who want that sort of treatment, they will oblige!
(12-03-2012, 11:10 PM)Tenet Nosce Wrote: The flip side of that is... what is it about humanity that compels us to incessantly seek out ways to lie, cheat, scam, and defraud others? Is this normal for a 3D population? I've heard of more respectable behavior from baboons!
That's a whole 'nother conversation!
