Everybody 'Wang Chung' tonight
And I'm given to thoughts of happiness
Do-si-do to the head of the class
And I'm given to thoughts of happiness
-- Modest Mouse, "Buttons To Push The Buttons"
Exceedingly improbable cover band, admittedly, but they serve up an excellent cover version of "Third Planet". Dig their sly musical quote from Lou Reed's "Walk On The Wild Side" after each chorus. I would perhaps also have thrown in a few bars from Sugar Ray's "Fly" ("I just wanna fly, put your arms around me baby..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUtnwcv-quE).
And folks dismiss the Family as being lightweight -- They know not whereof they speak.
You were just imagining that, thank God! -- because you're overworked, pressed down & stressed out by Modernity's frenetic pace...
You need to relax... expand...
The original "Hank" (poet Charles Bukowski) and "Cupcakes" (his muse Pamela Woods)
Live la vida loca in the lap of LARPxury:
Why? 'Cos. (Damn, Slavoj Žižek sure is a multi-talented guy.)
Coming up: K. D. Lang performs classical hits of yesteryear
