it seems that the first experiences of kundalini rising to the green ray energy centre open up feelings/experiences of universal love (as Ra describes it). This can feel 'heady' and overpowering. It is like the first step from the personal, and into the transpersonal.

but this would not seem to be 'enlightenment'; even though it is commonly mistaken for such. Enlightenment (in the sense of the buddha) would seem to be the stepping up from indigo centre and into the FULLNESS of violet, which (to me) would seem to an access to the allness of Creation and the Creator; not just the beginning sensations of going beyond the self. Enlightenment, in that sense, would be the penetration of the octave, and all the fullness of understandings that come with clearing green, blue, and indigo in succession.

green ray represents a certain universality of experience, a sense of connectedness, that the self is not the 'small self' of the lower triad. But that first taste is just the beginning of the long hard task of fully clearing green, and moving into blue.

and here, I am speaking of the kundalini, not just opening up a chakra and having it function normally. The kundalini speaks to the baseline level of our awareness, the default experience of our reality when no other parameters are at play.

True textbook enlightenment, to me, is found in the seventh-density of experience, the density reached once all desire is fulfilled. Incarnational experience is cast aside as all is embraced as all with no desire to touch it, alter it.

As an incarnate being, finding enlightenment to me is clearly seeing the giving/receiving of infinity to infinity in every moment and embracing it without any resistance.

I've never heard of the first taste of transpersonal as some kind of event? The transpersonal is indeed associated with the green ray center, but that is something that is initially dipped into to glimpse interiorities and validate subjectivity, and tends to engenders higher, more egalitarian moral standards. That is typically associated with "awakening", rather than "enlightenment" because green ray is able to transcend the bulk planetary consciousness. There are certainly states and feelings such as connectedness and wholeness associated with the green center but it's not at all through the indigo center, which comes much later after further balancing. The latter is self as part of creation, a feeling of co-creation, ever-presentness, and connectedness, divinity, sacredness. But even that first contact with intelligent infinity is not "enlightenment", as of the Buddha, but an initial taste of it.

Also, the work and experienced involved with that green ray is what is called "initiation". And as Ra said, nowadays it is much a more common experience - hence the sedona retreats, the call for gurus, the reading material about new states of awareness, etc.

I want my own Universe. Or let's start with a planet. That'll do nicely. I'd want to design, but give it free will.

Completely agree with Zen here. A good correlative is that enlightment is not exactly but pratically in line with being able to access the gateway to infinite intelligence at will. Note I did not say infinite energy.

There are many intiations but I would agree with Zen in that the general means of 'intiation' signifies activation of green ray. From my experience even stations with in each energy center, can come with a sort of initiation. From my experience each sub-sequent activation of a center post green ray, comes with intitiation. There is celebration when one here activates past yellow.
