underneath the surface there is a huge huge struggle going on. u might not hear it out loud but u can feel it very strongly. it is ALL about power, the keeping of power, the refusal to share power , the desire to use power to intimidate . and this is occurring everywhere, on the job in the family in schools, politics.
the old way is all about vertical power. the new way is about horizontal power. to me the healthiest groups will be those who share power, where power shifts easily from one person to another depending on the need of the moment. and i think that this is the profound struggle that defines this earth right now.
personally i am not afraid to speak up for justice. that be the way this brother rolls. if someone doesnt like it i really dont care i dont like being pushed and manipulated ha ha . just call it norrals way. and i have found people will respect u more when u stand up to them. thats just human nature. so the abuses of power exist they can be overt and they can be subtle. i stand up to them because i view all humans as equals no one is better or worse we are just different. and that is the battle that rages across this planet right now. i would love to go to congress and puncture some balloons ha ha but i doubt i will be getting an invite. those people there dont intimidate one bit. no one does ha ha . but i do digress. so are u feeling what im saying here or not really ?

just some examples of what i am talking about, look at the selection of a new pope. he will be old , and a man ha ha . how very very boring ha ha . makes me want to barf ha ha.
when castro stepped down who did he put into power. his fossil brother who i belive was almost 80 ha ha. what a joke these people are.
look at the fossils we have in congress . sweep them out and put in 30 and 40 year olds. new ideas people who can relate to younger people not old dried up fossils ha ha. i cant help it i have to speak with a straight tongue and say what is on my mind. i dont respect people because of some position they hold means nothing to me , its the kindness in their hearts that impresses me and their humility.

Your posting on justice made me think of this comic.

How much power do people willingly give up to those who we think are powerful? And how much power do we gain by becoming so anti-something or opposed to people with power? There are subtle and implicit dynamics when it comes to power.

In most ordinary situations we may unknowingly or knowingly give up power to the other person and blame them for our powerlessness. Yet there are situations where human rights gets violated and we cannot exercise our free will. But then again, we might have on some level agreed to have certain experiences for certain reasons in this incarnation... so I guess power dynamics may be understood from multiple perspectives.

I think a lot of people don't know how to recognize and to accept the power they already have. And if that's the case, then what power from another is going to be recognized and accepted?

an interesting thing happened at work. a worker complained about an unsafe unhealth condition. the top manager blew him off. the worker stood up to him and demanded the condition be taken care of. the manager was surprised but he did it. he didnt expect to get called out by someone much lower than him on the totem pole. but the bottom line is right is right. the manager didnt have to work under unhealthy conditions but the worker did and stood up for himself and prevailed. props to him.
i mean the way i see it i will talk and listen to anybody. but when someone pushes me because they think they are out of my league and can intimidate me i get pissed and push back . i have to learn how to get pissed more calmly lol but it has worked to bring a lot of people down to earth. i dont have a problem with people being in charge. i do have a problem when people in charge think they can beaugard someone because of their position. in the end we are all humans playing a role here. speak to me with respect and u will get respect. speak to me like a jerk and u will get a different response that u are not going to like. i see absolutely nothing wrong with standing up for ones self , nothing .
zen i dont quite understand the question u were posing .could u clarify that please. thanks
    rie
i try and stay away from we might have had a preincarnative agreement. if u say that then to me u can justify anything. oh the 3 year old child had an agreement to be raped , burned killed and thrown in a trash pile. anything could be an agreement we made before we got here. what if we have changed our minds since we got here. are we allowed to. i would hope so. to me too much sovereignity and respect is given to the creator and not enuf to us. i dont have a clue who the creator is and what he/she is thinking. what i do see is that it has placed the human race in slavery so i have very mixed feelings about this creator to say the least. i dont really like the creator ha ha sad but true i guess. but that is my own personal issue but i think u will find a lot of people who feel the same way but perhaps they wont admit it. but how do u engage in conflict which is what this thread is all about. if u are upset at someone how do u engage them. that is a question for both u and zen . i am curious as my conflict resolution skills vary wildly from day to day.
