Kin and Kindness

I love what the Word "Kin" Points to and it´s relation with the Word kindness

Kin, Kinness, Kindness, Kin(dimension)ness.

Am I overanalysing or am I on to part of the puzzle?

No I think you are right, our kin are our kind and we treat them with kindness. We also send the young of our kind to be tended at a kindergarten. The word has Germanic roots as a noun but I think using kind as an adjective came later than it's use as a noun.
