When I feel that I'm getting nowhere with someone, I tend to apologize, hoping they will accept the apology.
Is this a way of controlling others unintentionally?
I asked my friend:
Then he went on a rant about how new age stuff was BS and that what I said made no sense.
So I apologized for stressing him out evidently.
I just don't know if I should have kept quiet, or apologized.
I always usually let him have the last word, as I don't feel necessary to defend my position.
I try to teach him my view, and he shows me videos of how the Ra Material is BS and stuff.

And that beingness is existence?
