is it just me, or are there some difficult lessons of the Self being learnt at the moment?

I've been working through the Empress card and spontaneity.

it ties into the Star and seeing the infinite stimulation of things.

which then has a tangential relation to the Wheel and progress.

Again, I'm going to reference astrology.

"Mercury retrograde, which occurs three times a year for about three weeks each time, is interpreted particularly strongly. Mental pursuits and connections break down. The Mercury retrograde period is best used as a time for inner reflection. It is not a good time for making new decisions or new business plans, but it is ideal for reflecting on your current situation. It is best to quietly observe your inner process during Mercury retrograde, and to carry forward with your preexisting plans. Ask yourself: Where am I heading in my life at this particular juncture? Then try to move forward with new directions only after Mercury has gone direct, and perhaps even a fortnight beyond, when Mercury has left its retrograde shadow."

Hey, I have been in that place currently, btw.

Just a thought- here, we've been under tornado watch and a slow moving, intense storm from this morning has finally reached my home. Has the nervous energy of my immediate collective been affecting my ability to be happY? Maybe BigSmile

I'm a virgo, so mercury retrograde is extra baffling for me, I basically feeling like there's a big hole in my thinking, things just aren't connecting properly... @_@

I wouldn't say I've felt stuck - rather I feel I have been getting loose ends all tied up, trimmed off, etc. Finishing up things.

I'm going to go out on a limb, but not a tangent, and say this time period is about realizing the "proper" place where they are connecting. Smile (not a tangent, I'm not going there)

(realizing I walking on thin ice with multiple posts)

Honestly, the best thing to remember during these "moments" is that the entire globe is feeling it too. So, in addition to dealing with ourselves, we need to reduce expectations of others, because they are in their own internal processes. This contributes to the miscommunications as well, the negative expressions that is.

If you recall my "soulmate that goes our separate ways" , he is a virgo. Loves to go through life "fixing" "broken" things. He's good at it (of course he is, he is Virgo), but I'm there to balance that and tell him how he needs to stop at the expense of himself. .... You may relate?

This has been a particularly frustrating and disappointing week. Though it has nothing to do with my spiritual pursuits of Mercury retrograde...this unseasonably warm weather is messing all sorts of things up for me Sad.

Weather is a B sometimes, especially where plants are concerned. The sentiment covers every corner that meets my perception.

LOL - hmmmmmmmmm, well, yes, I might relate just a wee, little bit!

Wish I could "fix" the weather!

I have Taurus rising and Leo moon to balance me out, and either help me do the fixing work, or growl at anyone getting in my way. Cool

I haven't felt it. In fact the past few weeks have been refreshing. Warm weather lifts my spirits to a previously unrecognized degree. I get my vitamin D, jog more and can walk around barefoot on the earth. I've also felt my motivational energy increase.

Today however I did have an interesting catalyst. I had kava in me during an argument and I usually keep my cool but today my blood was boiling (I usually don't get angry). It's hard to get me angry so my theory is mercury retrograde time has provided me with the catalyst to be angry as I don't think this would have been accomplished as effectively without the herb! It's good though as this individual and myself are working through unresolved feelings. I remembered about this thread afterwards and it hit me.

Anywho I really don't know a whole lot about astrology. What are some good resources on the matter?

I read in The Source Field Investigations by David W. that increases in solar activity usually coincides with increased planetary violence and general unease.

And there is a lot going on with the Sun right now Smile

Well, I think it finally "hit" me.

Today I have felt as if all the great work I've done over these past few weeks has all come completely undone. Sigh.
