Cleanliness
I watched a video related to the art of 'Feng Shui' earlier, and I was thinking if perhaps our inner balance could be related to our surrounding environment.

For instance, if the cleanliness of your environment could have healing properties on you.

I think when my apartment is a bit messy for too long, I feel uneasy, though I believe I have some kind of acceptance that it is okay for the moment due to this and that. (Too much work, or feeling unwell, being lazy, etc.)

And I sometime notice that on a sub-conscious level I still turn my sight to where it is messy, or dirty, not thinking in particular moment that "I should clean that", but just a quick stare.

So I thought maybe to share this thought with you, if you were to find this helpful too, or just feel free to discuss.

Thank you.

RE: Cleanliness
I am like you Ada I do not function well when there is a clutter, I think to live in a close to empty space is very resting. A bit like your imagination works better on a blank screen ?

Also if we have a roof over our head, we are so lucky compare to so many on Earth who do not and suddenly that roof becomes a friend and we need to take good care of it. Also what is the need of a packed closet if we practically live in the same clothes year long. Fact is if we have a closet only one third full we breathe better don’t we ?

But yes if we are in a phase of overwork or exhausted it’s pretty good to be lazy... Wink

RE: Cleanliness
What Ra says on the matter might be of interest to you:

Quote:96.4 ▶ Questioner: The instrument asks, since this has to do with that house, is the house capable of being transformed by the painting and cleaning? We are able to undertake… that is, we don’t plan to put down all new carpets. Are the carpets that are there now acceptable?

I want to either bring this particular house up to acceptable limits— you say it will be neutral after we do the salting. I have only a concern with the conditions for our work here. The physical location isn’t that important. In fact I don’t consider this important at all. If the house is not capable of being brought up to good conditions that will afford us no problems of the type we’ve experienced then I may select a different one. It’s not that important. Would Ra comment on this?

Ra: I am Ra. It is, of course, the preference of this group which is the only consideration in the situation for contact with Ra.

The domicile in question has already been offered a small amount of blessing by this group through its presence and, as we have previously stated, each of your days spent in love, harmony, and thanksgiving will continue transforming the dwelling.

It is correct, as we have previously stated, that physical cleanliness is most important. Therefore, the efforts shall be made to most thoroughly cleanse the dwelling. In this regard it is to be noted that neither in the dwelling as a whole wherein you now reside or in the chamber of this working is there an absence of your dust, earth, and other detritus which is in toto called dirt. If the intention is to clean, as much as is physically possible, the location, the requirements for physical cleanliness are fulfilled. It is only when a lower astral entity has, shall we say, placed portions of itself in the so-called dirt that care should be taken to remove the sentient being. These instructions we have given.

May we note that just as each entity strives in each moment to become more nearly one with the Creator but falls short, just so is physical spotlessness striven for but not achieved. In each case the purity of intention and thoroughness of manifestation are appreciated. The variance between the attempt and the goal is never noted and may be considered unimportant.

RE: Cleanliness
Thanks Ray. Although I think Ra spoke more specifically in relation to the contact and the cleansings that were required, I think some of that information still stands. Thanks again.
