this i believe is a timely topic. Carla brought it up in her q and a from
this past tuesday in response to a question from pablissimo and i have
seen this brought up in other areas on the web in this time frame. we just seem to be programmed to feel guilty about stuff and to be unable to let
it go. and it seems to be easier to forgive others than to forgive ourselves.
the truth as i see it is this. we have all done stuff we wish we
hadnt done. every single one of us. no exceptions there. i look at it
from the standpoint of a parent. having raised four children there is all
kinds of stuff that happened when they were growing up. believe me
ive earned my gray hairs lol. want to hear one . how about my
15 year old son taking my brand new mazda turbocharged sportscar
and ramming it into a brand new lincoln town car. nice right
hes now in his 5th year as an elementary school teacher. what he did
as a kid doesnt matter any more. ok ok so he was grounded forever lol
what im saying is it is in the nature of a parent to see the good in
their children. just ask the mom of any serial killer lol. they all say
he was such a good boy growing up. i dont understand what happened
you must have the wrong person lol.
parents by their nature tend to overlook the imperfections of their
children. perhaps we would all benefit if we looked at ourselves as
though we were our own parents in other words as though we are
our own children or grandchildren. then we would be much more
forgiving with ourselves. here is a link to a flower essence that
helps with healing the inner child
