My point could have been made without the crankiness and internal bickering, but...what would have been more clear for me to say is simply: There is another quote(it might be in that same session actually have to double check) Where they explain it in a clear manner without the anti-joy platitudes. It's something about happiness being a valuable catalyst but it's usually human inability to recognize/use it to where negative catalyst is usually better at "getting our attention". Ok, that's perfectly fair and clear and well stated without dangerous platitudes. If they are capable of that level of true and clear communication on the topic, why spout out a stupid platitude about "and the intrinsic value of happiness is quite low." when they know the whole picture is much more nuanced than that? It seems almost out of place like a sore thumb. I don't even think that statement might have necessarily been 100%"kosher". It seems inconsistent with the clarity and truth I have come to expect of the material. Instead of just saying that, I was a little cranky about it, that much is true.
Had I not read your cranky reply, BD, I would not have clicked on the link to this particular Q'uo session, and I have to say, it is the crankiest Q'uo session I can ever recall reading.
Distilling a bit of it, I might ask you, do you suppose you might just be bickering with yourself about the craziness of the illusion? In other words, are you focusing your interest on transient matters of personal preference or are you pressing towards the goal of experiencing Divinity? Honestly, if we're serious, we don't have a lot energy to waste, in my own personal opinion,
To sum up the small amount of good news in the session, here's this quote.
Quote:Yet within your illusion at this time you must content yourself with continuing upon the journey toward mystery and accept that you do not know what you do or how to do it, but that you wish to do that which will make the mystery move within your life in the pattern that may only be described as love.
I don't necessarily think its so transient to try and seek a clearer understanding about suffering, joy, and catalyst. I don't think it's transient or cranky to call out half-baked platitude that does not resonate with me and does not seem consistent with the quality and clarity I've come to expect from the material, including much better explanations of the very topic that that platitude obfuscates.
The platitude "and the intrinsic value of happiness is quite low." sounds just like "happiness isn't the objective"...ring any bells? Such a distortion could lead one down a very tragic path in life.
