He walks into a public library. He looks around at shelves after shelves of books on all kinds of subjects.

He moves on to a different section, yet again, he is faced with shelves after shelves of books.

He sits on a table, closes his eyes, and tries to remember how many of these books has he read.

Humbled, he admits to himself that he is ignorant.

What do I know, He asks himself?
    What do I know?

He walks out of the library, and meets a friend.
They start talking to each other, each trying to make a point.
He finds himself believing in what he is saying.

As he heads home, he can't help but admit how arrogant he was, trying to tell his friend that he is sure of what he was talking about.

Later, as his head hits the pillow, he realizes how arrogant and ignorant he has always been.

From that first realization of perceived internal flaws and blemishes and the subsequent acknowledgement of that these are areas that might be detrimental that would do well in being smoothed out and refined, one paves the way for self-healing and evolution towards purification.

At a level of spiritual purification, I found that I must turn my will over to God's. So I live now by God's will rather than my own. There is no other way to balance this substantial amount of light and love that I carry.

At the level I'm at now, things don't really test my patience anymore. The longer I have to wait for something, the more love that I feel. So I can wait around all day for things to happen if I need.

I chose probably one of the most difficult paths possible. Very rapid growth, but you're walking a razor's edge of love/light balance, until you can no longer balance and then hand it over to God. God provides wisdom. But I see him as God, rather than a balancer. I need God more than ever. More than anything.

Have been thinking of humility lately. I am impressed with Ra's frequently repeated descriptor "humble messenger of the Law of One". They who have come so far in their spiritual evolution, still value and identify with humility.

I realize , myself, that after so much seeking, experiences, study, prayer meditation...what do I really know? Have I progressed at all? Am I arrogantly attached to "progress"? Do I measure progress by the world's standards or is there something else? Is it arrogant to measure, compare, "spiritual growth"? These are questions that I have. Coming from an attitude of seeking that I desired progress, growth and healing, I realize that I am the same. I am me.

I would like to cultivate true humility, not a humility based on unworthiness, but a humility that regards the awesomeness of the Creator.

I looked up "humble", and found these quotes related to what I feel intuitively:

    Quote:

62.23 Ra: I am Ra. This is correct. Nearly all positive channels and groups may be lessened in their positivity or rendered quite useless by what we may call the temptations offered by the fourth-density negative thought-forms. They may suggest many distortions towards specific information, towards the aggrandizement of the self, towards the flowering of the organization in some political, social, or fiscal way.

These distortions remove the focus from the One Infinite Source of love and light of which we are all messengers, humble and knowing that we, of ourselves, are but the tiniest portion of the Creator, a small part of a magnificent entirety of infinite intelligence.

Quote:74.11 Questioner: What I am trying to get at is how these disciplines affect the energy centers and the power of the white magician. Will you tell me how that works?

Ra: I am Ra. The heart of the discipline of the personality is threefold. One, know yourself. Two, accept yourself. Three, become the Creator.

The third step is that step which, when accomplished, renders one the most humble servant of all, transparent in personality and completely able to know and accept other-selves. In relation to the pursuit of the magical working the continuing discipline of the personality involves the adept in knowing itself, accepting itself, and thus clearing the path towards the great indigo gateway to the Creator. To become the Creator is to become all that there is. There is then no personality in the sense with which the adept begins its learn/teaching. As the consciousness of the indigo ray becomes more crystalline, more work may be done; more may be expressed from intelligent infinity.

It seems a juxtaposition to say on the one hand the most humble servant of all is one who has "become" the Creator. "To become the Creator is to become all there is."

We think of the Creator as Great and Powerful, omniscient, omnipotent.....and yet Ra tells us that to become this is most humble. I have had it wrong for awhile I think.

It leads me to the question, what is Power? What is the Creator's power...that is what I have not understood.

The Creator's power is Love. Love of All There Is. The form of this love can be called acceptance. So then the Creator's power is acceptance of All There Is, just as it is. Smile

Hi Valtor...I don 't deny the power of love. However, I am thinking that undistorted Love is the original thought that informs the Creator's power to create. Power such as that , to form stars and planets, and all the elements, and all forms... I have never thought of this power and humility together, and yet is what Ra seems to be saying.

A completely transparent ego, I am sort of awestruck by this idea. That God is a humble servant. My religious upbringing did not give me that idea, I had thought of the creator as worthy to be praised and glorified, but never as humble.

I think the reason why this power is combined with humility, is because it is devoid of ego. Think about it, if someone with ego increases in power, the feeling of being strong and mighty will also make his ego bigger and thus cause him to become arrogant, to think he is better than everyone else.
Whereas true spirituality and power come from a sense of being a part of it all, and non-judgmental, a sense of all-inclusion and overwhelming love, with out the separation that the ego causes.

Shemaya - I have been thinking along the same lines lately. I think I go through this "phase" every year as I start working outside in the garden. I am always filled with wonder at the fruit that grows from the tiniest seed, even the weed seeds fill me with wonder. And the the whole universe that is contained in my small garden patch, the creatures, even the tiniest microbes in the soil that all work together (and sometimes against each other) to keep this all going. The richness of the layers of life . . . .

I think that Creator is a humble servant in that she/he set this all in motion, all this life, including me, and allows his/her energy to continue to cycle through so that each particle can be filled with love and light, and in my case, wonder!

As for me, I've decided to get back to being a simple conduit of the love and light, nothing more.

I can relate to this Gemini....I start each day with these questions that I got from a Qu'o channeling. They resonated with me when I read them years ago and they still do. I wouldn't call it a prayer though...its more like asking for a little guidance for the coming day.

What is your will for me today?
    How shall I serve?
    What shall I experience?
And in what shall I rejoice?

    Richard

I think "humility" and the "awesomeness of the creator" are both terms that will keep humans in a hierarchy, where one is better than the other. If one is looking up to the creator and finding it awesome, one is feeling a division. One might reach a state of potential and balance and see the self as just as awesome, and then, one would be the same as the creator, hence, no real awesomeness, just oneness.

(05-08-2012, 05:04 PM)Shemaya Wrote: It leads me to the question, what is Power? What is the Creator's power...that is what I have not understood.

Real power, in my opinion, is really knowing who one is, and opening to full potential. Full potential would be access to the field of infinite possibilities. Many things cut us off from that access: judgments, paradigms, beliefs, brain-washing from the media, and much else. When one is more open, and free of blockages, one taps power. Power is simply the birthright of every being. The access and communication with the infinite field of possibilities.

If humans, and all beings, were only here to "merge back with the creator," then what would be the point of even existing? Just to "go back home"? I don't imagine there is an endgame, it is all movement, evolution, creation, happening all the time.
