whoa Xise, .. this is awesome. I had no determined views of games. Because I love moving along with concrete things, I tend to get bored with them and of course then I am inept at it. But I remember like decades ago one that I was playing all the time called Lolo.

My son even found a way for me to play it again, he probably dived into the endless pit of archived video games to retrieve a possible playable format..

I love watching him play though, as long as it's not like corpses falling on top of each other. I am a sissy.

On games where you could make your own choices and tailor the story based on how you play (such as the walking dead), I generally picked the service-to-others options, such as not stealing from the station wagon. I often fell out with play partners when playing that, wondering why we would NOT make a service to others choice when the whole world had gone to s***. Often pointing out if our lives are near their end, lets leave on a note of trying to help someone.

I played fallout 3, and I often tried to be kind to others as much as possible to gain karma. The game rewards you at the end of that by awarding you a character that you can only play with if your karma is positive. Karma in fallout 3 is gained by doing good deeds and giving your limited resources, but is lost by stealing from others, harming people needlessly, etc.

Games don't seem to stimulate me anymore. the quality has lessened too.

Recently I forced myself to sit down and play a game. I chose ''Eastshade''

    It's a totally non-violent game.
The main character is a painter. you paint, interact with others, get quests, earn money, buy/sell stuff, ...the areas, ppl and the scenery are interesting..

I think there is far more danger to the amount of time wasted by video games than by playing them. I personally don't engage in the playing of video games at all anymore, for several years now, the world amazes me so greatly. I have in the past played certain games, but they never seemed to stick.

Then again, I find other ways to waste my time. Even extremely violent games such as the GTA series offer still an interesting exploration/distortion of the one infinite creator and can serve as catalyst (for either service polaritie) in the right analysis scenario.

i enjoy playing competitive multiplayer games and something that ive been working on is to have a mindset that doesnt involve any negative characteristics of the lower 3 chakras (superiority, domination, etc.). i think that if you can play a competitive multiplayer game that easily lends itself to lower states of mind and yet maintain higher states of mind that is quite an accomplishment! its easy enough to be positive in a positive environment but what about being positive in a negative environment Tongue

I used to love text based games.
My friend would sit at my computer and we would work together.

One person named Phoenix in the game helped us when we were just starting out because we complimented him on his name.
Then later, when we got as powerful as he was, we destroyed his ship. It was a game called Planets.

I probably wouldn't have done it myself, but with group think, we both sort of decided to.
I felt bad later having turned on the guy who helped us.
