Heart I decided to do my first outdoor meditation of the year as the brutal Winter gives way to Spring. I sat leaning against a tree and just enjoyed the sun in my face and the sounds of the birds in the trees. Suddenly, I hear the sound of bird wings very close to me. I didn't move and opened my eyes, but couldn't see it so I continued to meditate. It landed on top of my head and started pulling on the hair on my head. It moved to the side of my head and then to the back and started pulling hair from the nape of my neck. A couple of times I flinched and it would fly off, but always came back. I guess the little guy was there for about 5 minutes or more. Never did see it because it stayed out of my field of vision. It was one of those times that I wish I had my cell phone with me so I could've taken a selfie with a wild bird on my head! Guess the little guy/gal was gathering nesting material. It's comforting to know that my hair will help bring in a new brood of baby birds. I am so grateful for Spring!

    That's so cool.

What I would love would be for a red fox to come up and sit next to me while meditating. I think that would be sweet.

Good to hear from you, Auntie Mable! The bird landing on your head is a very very very good sign.

Hi, Jeremy! I'm glad to know it's a good sign. What does it mean?

Not sure, but didn't a dove alight upon Jesus's head at some point, signaling to John the Baptist that he was the messiah? That's what I had in mind: that you're the messiah. BigSmile

Lol! I reckon we're all the messiah since we are all one.  Smile

I think it's a sign that your energy is gentle enough and accepting enough that a normally skittish (with humans) bird wasn't afraid of you. It may have been grooming you or thinking you were a tree—interacting with you in a communal or symbiotic way, as though you are part of the ecosystem (unlike most of of humanity), and not a predator.  Heart
