I'm like flying in a straight line most of the time. No Man's Sky might be more your thing, assuming it actually releases this year. Also, if you're looking for something that's along the same lines as Elite Dangerous or the X3 series, but a bit lighter, you might check out Evochron Legacy. The guy who made it (and it was largely a one-man production) has spent something like the last 15 years churning out his little homemade space games, and it's actually quite good. It's not as deep in terms of gameplay mechanics, but you also don't end up spending an hour just flying from Point A to Point B either. Plus it's one of the rare huge space exploration\trading games that lets you freely enter atmosphere and explore planets as you like, although NMS will undoubtedly be far superior for that. If it actually ever comes out. (It's on Steam, or you can download a demo from its website.) |
