Just watched it.

A pretty interesting film, which sort of explores a mish-mash of concepts (AI, the Technological Singularity, Skynet, nanobots and nano-probes, Borg singular consciousness, and Terminator 2 self healing machines).

There is a love story at the heart of it, but in the end, it is how one comes to deal with the loss of a loved one. It was the same theme explored in the movie Fountain (2006). Here, control of the environment, however well intentioned, demonstrates the negative path in terms of dealing with catalyst and dealing with other-selves.

It is a bittersweet film; which shows, in the end, the futility of the negative path in the ultimate scheme of things. That is not to say there is no value in the experience (everything being explored as a possibility in infinite possibilities of the Creator's domain), but that in the end, release must come, and control reliquished in one instantaneous moment.
