from Information Scarcity to Information Glut

Probably, but possibly not. Information technology, social media, and the internet are associated in many people's minds with transparency and honesty.

I can see how the idea of collective information sharing would seem that way. However, a social memory complex is an intersubjective experience which requires blue-ray honesty. That information and connection is of the nature of mind itself, rather than of technological abstraction. Each advance in the ease with which information is shared could be said to be a metaphor for an incipient social memory complex. But it is rather the expression of a vibratory level, irrespective of tool use, that allows an actual shared mind connection. Many generations away.

Surely though, technological advances in the area of sharing information and connecting humans to each other must be representative of advances within the planetary mind itself. The tools cannot be manifested without some proper roots in the mind. If the vast connectedness of the internet is not at least a technological seed of a social memory complex, whether or not it is generations away, then it is simply a coincidence that its inception correlates to the change of 3D to 4D energies, an external fundamental shift that is bound to affect our collective mind? I don't buy that.

I see a sort of crazy game being played out in regards to transparency and honesty brought on by the internet and social media. On one hand, it creates another layer or mask which people can put on, strengthening a over-active persona and avoiding honesty. I read recently about the anxiety felt by teens brought on by social media because it allows them such a public and direct interface to society that they get lost in the representation. Instead of "I really like Harry Potter, so I will say that I like Harry Potter on my profile." it becomes "Should I say that I like Harry Potter because it makes me seem playful and open because I enjoy a child's book, or should I not put anything about Harry Potter because it makes me look childish?" There is lots of opportunity in many ways to create falsehoods and hide from the ultimate truth through the internet and how it allows us to interface with others.

On the other hand, the truth is inevitably contained somewhere in the information stored and available to someone with the knowledge to access it. Whistleblowers, leakers, and hackers have done a number on the transparency of government agencies and it seems like, no matter what types of advances in the technology might happen, there will inevitably be someone who can uncover the truth.

It seems to me like this is a 4D energy interplay, where things cannot be hidden. "The fourth density is one of revealed information. Selves are not hidden to self or other-selves."

If we accept the idea that 4D vibrations are thrust upon us by an outer source then it seems to me that the internet, despite the greatest attempt to control information, will ultimately bring truth and openness. Who knows how long though.

That's what I like about 4D. I wouldn't be afraid to be open and honest, so long as I knew that others were too. If you couldn't hide anything, it becomes much easier to serve others too. Short of a few things I've been as honest here as I can be. The rest would be pointless details.

I think true honesty starts with the self. Being honest with yourself. About who are, what you want, and what you want to explore. I think the internet lets people honestly explore what they want to explore. I feel the mask most people of this world wear, is in day to day interactions. Online, I believe more of that mask actually comes off.

There are many people who explore beautiful spiritual matters online who may not do so openly in real life (I mean, I don't even use my real name here though many of you know it since we've met at homecoming, and my facebook page has many of you as friends but I don't really talk about this stuff there). There are also many people who enjoy or wish to explore superiority or control or simple pleasure at the other selves expense, such as serious trolling, hateful forum exchanges, encouraging depressed people to commit suicide on irc; just take a look at most forums or most news article commentary. On the internet, we are more free from the pressure of societal norms. In day to day interactions, many of us still try to stick to moral social norms because we don't wish to be judged or be on the receiving end of the other person's reaction. Anonymously, online, we can be free to explore our current distortions, imbalances, and positive and negative desires without having to worry about facing external reactions. It is a space that is unique in that sense, and I'm glad I incarnated during a time I could be a part of it.

I don't buy that 4D energies are required to allow information-sharing technologies, even those technologies that may be vastly more "advanced" than what we have today.
