For a while now, I've been trying to put into words why time is an illusion… I just had a sudden insight after a bad day, hopefully this is getting closer to the truth and of particular interest to someone else as well. =)
I think I understand a bit of how time is an illusion. Based on my theory that a personality at any given time is more quantum than linear, meaning that a personality is influenced by chemical reactions in the brain, but more so controlled by the individual thought-actions.
A personality is controllable by the self when enough awareness of the self thoughts and actions has been achieved. A personality can be changed for good or bad. Staying in the current time, or using memories to relive the past.
Time is merely a structure for the stream of life events to be cradled within, completely separate from the individual consciousness that is not restricted by the time framework, but merely by the level of awareness and self perceived restrictions.
This theory is also dependent upon placing primary importance on the intellect and wisdom over time bound items such as money or other such physical. Because if primary importance is instead placed upon money for example, time would appear to be fully the reality, due to the level of life progression measured by money.
What do you think?
