I would like to recommend the following movies:

    "Earthlings"
"Encounters at the End of the World "
    "Touching the Void "
    "Into the wild"
    "The Constant Gardener"
    "The bucket list"
    "Memories of Matsuko"

I have a sometimes strange view of this subject because if a movie is made well, I like it. These all have very strong characters that develop in them and have a service to others message while not always being obvious:

    Groundhog day.
    Terminator 2. (I know)
Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind.
    Collateral.
    Braveheart.

    A thin red line...

"Where is it that we were together? Who were you that I lived with? The brother. The friend. Darkness, light. Strife and love. Are they the workings of one mind? The features of the same face? Oh, my soul. Let me be in you now. Look out through my eyes. Look out at the things you made. All things shining. "

It's a brutal movie about war... But the leading character is living in an enlightened state. All the dirt rolls of him. He is pure, and free in spite of the circumstances.

    Great thread!

Wow, I'm not familiar with most of these listed.

    I would add:

    What Dreams May Come
    - very powerful message about redemptive/sacrificial love and commitment. Beautifully filmed, very lush and beautiful. Deals with other realms, a metaphorical view of heaven/hell, karmic lessons, and, most of all, the power of love. Emotionally intense but very rewarding.

Pay It Forward - What a fabulous idea! Imagine if we all did that!

    The Devil's Advocate
    - Has some negativity and graphic, violent parts, so definitely not a fun, fluffy movie. But makes a profound statement about Free Will in the midst of extreme evil.

Waking Life - Very trippy movie about Lucid Dreaming. Who needs drugs? Just watch this movie!

Time Bandits - A romp! But with a lot of profound little tidbits scattered throughout the movie. Fun time-travel adventure with dwarves and some of the Monty Python people.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home - My fav ST movie. Well done. Inspiring in the sense of people working together to save the planet, and recognizing that humans aren't the most intelligent species on Planet Earth.

    Across the Universe
    - Rekindle the Spirit of the 60s! (When a lot of Wanderers woke up.)

    Yes Man

    http://www.jimcarreyonline.com/movies/yesman.html

My wife shared revelations she had about saying yes to the universe a few days before we saw this film. It was incredibly powerful for her to see the principles played out so clearly in a film. She even took her friends to the film after we saw it. These spiritual jewels do not hit the cinema very often. Don't miss it!

Here are some videos of talks given by Sadhguru. I hear much truth and wisdom in his words, and while I think there are alot of "bullsh!t gurus" out there who are just trying to make money, I think he is the real thing and I would love to someday go to his completely volunteer operated non-profit organization for a while.

Actually, instead of posting a bunch of links to his other talks, you can just follow the links at the side of the page. they're great.

Here is a great video about sacred geometry:

As soon as the woman in this video starts singing the audience's reaction changes totally to her. I found it quite touching to watch. A good lesson in not judging a book by its cover

I watched What the bleed do we know last night with me lady friend. Absolutely astounding stuff. It has got a lot of the same people from the secret, but it takes a much more scientific view of it.

I was watching Angel and Demons yesterday! good stuff! although what it got me thinking about was the Da Vinci code. I don't know if it adds up to much but the bloodline of christ, I was considering the 'bloodline' that is referred to by hidden hand. A secret family related to jesus certainly would be able to get the attention of our political leaders today.

Hopefully most of you have heard of TED. If not your missing out Tongue Google 'ted'

I just watched this one, and it was most certainly not the average TED talk.

Summed up - A scientist is given an insight to Oneness. A stroke of insight as she would put it.

I hope this is as inspiration for you as it was for me.

    Hi Sirius,

Thanks for this video and introducing me to TED. It is wonderful to hear people discuss their personal moments of discovery. Just goes to show that there really is love in every moment. What's most amazing is that she recognized it at the time.
