So I finally sat down with a printed copy of this thread last night and examined it for about an hour. ...

Sorry for the long delay! Had a lot on my mind, and another idea came out of nowhere that was equally boggling. I've since been trying to figure out how the math of the thing works while it was fresh in my mind (still sadly not quite there yet).

But as for your fantastic questions, I think I'll take Questioner's advice and start a new thread to keep this one focused on "What convinced you?" =) Also I've since updated the images in the first post, which may help address some of your questions.

I very much appreciate you taking the time to look over the idea. Hopefully I'll get to answering all your questions this evening in the new thread.

Well, after meditating for 5 months, I can feel Creator's energy through me, so I'm somewhat more in tune with changes.

What stood out was how well the Ra material resonated with me. I read it all, hungry for the knowledge.

However, one lady who runs a spiritual meditation group I am part of, mentions that our ascension is into 5th dimension, so her scale or such may be different. Not sure how her concept of 5th dimension would fit into Ra's concept of 4th density.

He discusses what he things real ET life is like in contrast to the beings in his film, and he speaks to some length about how they would need to reach type 1, 2 and 3 level civilizations, etc. which is slightly related to your theories. Interesting thread! What convinced me to open my mind to the material at LLr was the fact that the reductionist materialist worldview I grew up with so miserably failed at explaining to me my own reality. The channelings came close enough to describe many things I found to be true in my life, that the things that seemed too weird to me could at least be stashed in a "look at later" pile, rather than just being discarded. The "choice" concept didn't really resonate with me at first, because that was just never a question for me - it seemed like my choice had been pre-made way before "I" came around. Well, finding the wanderer concept cleared that one...

I have to say that I don't think it's a coincidence that this contact was carried out through a "non-numbers" person. It's not that I don't have a head for math, it just doesn't interest me very much, and this way I think the material is accessible to a wider range of people than if it was stacked with graphs and numbers. Since I'm not going to go there myself, I'm more than delighted to see in this thread that you who are interested in pursuing that line find that it still makes sense.

I hate to be pessimistic, but what if someone locked you in a shed for the entirety of your life? The only way this can be seen as a choice is if we accept the notion that before incarnation we predestined ourselves for a life of captivity. I'm not saying this isn't possible, actually the LOO suggests this is how it really works, but once in that scenario choice is clearly out the window.

As hard as it is to wrap our minds around, indeed, every major theme we run in to is basically a product of pre-incarnate decisions. This is not just espoused in the Law of One, but also in the works of Michael Newton, a now retired hypnotherapist who explored the inbetween life stages for well over 30 years. He's written two books that talk about this in great detail, 'Journey of Souls' and 'Destiny of Souls'.

Although it would seem pointless to chose to become a captive for your entire life, it actually may be exactly what that person needs in their overall life to find balance in some way. Maybe that person was boisterous or overly something or other in 10 previous lives, or was themselves the cause of someone elses captivity in a similar fashion. I don't believe in some divine Karmic force, but I do believe we as disincarnate souls have the clearest picture of what we need to evolve in the best way possible.

Also, you never lose the ability to chose things.

Or, you may ponder in your non-incarnational state: "Hmmm... I wonder what would happen if I plunged into 3d and got locked in a shed for an entire lifetime. Would I lose my mind completely, or would I be able to focus and become an enlightened master in no time?"

Yes, we always have the inner choice.

All of that describes my feelings as well. Except that I misread your numbers paragraph at first. My initial glance made my think you'd said "I'm more than delighted to see that those who are interested in numbers still make no sense." I'm glad I went back to reread that more carefully.
