Rescued lab research dogs see the sun and grass for the first time

    Tearjerker!

Here's another; this time 120 beagles:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8k33oioneo

The only reason they were set free was that the cosmetics lab went bankrupt.

Just look at the sadness and fear in those eyes, transformed to joy and love when they experienced grass, sunshine, and hugs for the first time!

Thanks Monica. I'm partial to German Shepherds.

They did very well. Usually I get upset if a dog is growling at me.

I commend them for how they handled the growling german shepherd. I don't act nearly as nicely, and am ashamed at how I've treated some dogs in the past for growling at me. It doesn't help the situation, and just makes things worse. Plus it scares the dog more, and they end up growling more. My two shepherds don't growl at me at all. If I even raise my voice, they cower, because they are submissive.

But I did do good and not lose my temper when I saw one of my dogs tearing up a portable massage bed and tearing up the shed to get to a cat that was in there. Sadly they killed the cat. But in all that I didn't lose my cool, and am glad that I was able to allow that to happen without me getting mad at them. I don't like how I react to dogs when they are growling at me or when they do things that would normally annoy me.

These forums are a great thing for me - a group of people, many of whom speak the same language and understand my communications.

Monica is great for starting this thread.

Policeman cries while dispersing protesters and is hugged by the very people he is trying to prevent from breaking the police line

Quote:It was a long and tiring dispersal of protesters outside the Batasang Pambansa where President Benigno Aquino III delivered his SONA July 22, 2013. Amid the clashes, a foreign protester berated a policeman, asking him why they were hurting people.

The officer stood his ground and said that he is a policeman whose job was to maintain peace and order. Suddenly the policeman cried. The foreigner kept on shouting at the officer. He was still crying. He was trying to hold his tears but he can't

    full story:

reading this made me shed a tear as well. We are all humans doing the best we can, in an environment where the politics and money distort our basic good nature.

    Quote:Crying cop

It was a long and tiring dispersal. According to reports, at least 50 were injured in the clashes.

But amid the chaos, my lens caught a scene I thought I would never see during a dispersal.

A foreign protester was berating a policeman asking him why they were hurting the people. “Why are you doing this to us? Why are you hurting us?!”

    - -

The officer simply stood his ground. “I am a policeman, I’m just doing my job.”

He said his job was to maintain peace and order. He said they were given orders and they had to follow.

    Suddenly, the police officer cried.

The foreigner kept on shouting at the cop. But the policeman couldn't stop crying. He was trying to hold his tears, but he couldn't.

Another round of clashes erupted. The policemen were still trying to push and shove the protesters away. The crying cop simply stood his ground. He was still holding his shield firmly. Still weeping, sobbing.

Later, I approached the policeman and asked him his name. He said he is Joselito. A quick glance at his name tag revealed he is policeman Joselito Sevilla.

He said he is a private, and his uniform patch showed he is from the Marikina police unit.

Asked why he cried, he only said: "Sa gutom at pagod. Walang tulog. Walang pahinga. Dalawang araw na kami naka-deploy dito. Tapos ganito, nagkakagulo."

It was also PO1 Sevilla's first dispersal assignment.

    Realization

I finally understood him. No sleep. No food. No rest. And he came face-to-face with protesters whose goal was to break the police line.

Sevilla was physically and emotionally exhausted.

But he was following orders. He was just doing his job not to let protesters get near the Batasan Complex.

He did not hurt the protesters, even if some were already throwing rocks and hitting cops with wooden sticks.

Finally, some protesters noticed him, too: a policeman, whom they expected to retaliate, was in front of them, holding his shield firmly, weeping.

And then they started to console Sevilla. A man held his shoulder, telling him that everything would be all right. Another woman comforted him, as she tried to give him a handkerchief to wipe his tears.

    - -

Amid the chaos, these two protesters hugged Sevilla and assured him everything would be fine.

Seconds later, other policemen noticed what was happening and they moved Sevilla away from the front lines, away from the activists.

I was caught in the middle and I couldn't find him anymore. He was gone.

I'm going to have LASIK done tomorrow afternoon, so I'll have 20/20 or even 20/15 vision without glasses. That's pretty positive. It says a lot because I'm investing in myself and my life, which is a far cry from wanting to die as I felt before.

It's Tagalog and means "Hungry and tired. No sleep. Incessantly. Two days we were deployed . Done so, unruly".

I also spent some time in Quezon City. Very nice folks, very hospitable. We were often guests of dirt poor people who insisted on feeding us up with the best food they had. Life was never the same after returning from the Phillipines.

A good friend of my aunt's is walking across the country for organ donor awareness. He does light blogging on facebook nearly every day of his trip, and it's been fun watching all of his synchronicities including how at almost every stop, he meets someone who knows someone very close who has just recently had a transplant.

Part of his trip has been collecting images of lost gloves on the side of the road, and posting his favorite one from each day. Today, he found this glove:

Quote:I found this glove this morning and it jumped to top of the list! It contained a note that said, God Bless You...The hand of God. I got goosebumps as soon as I saw it on the side of the road. Thank you and this is "Glove of the trip" and its going to California with me!

I have no idea whether this has anything to do with movement into 4th density, or whether it's just a coincidence....but I have noticed, lately, that the people in my life have become extraordinarily kind to me. I'm 53 years old (almost 54) and had not previously experienced this level of appreciation consistently; or, at least, I did not perceive it. I am grateful for it.

Good luck buddy!! I am jealous - have wanted LASIK for many years myself, but bills always somehow seem to smash that dream for me. I've had a couple friends in the past few years say how much better they've gotten at the procedure and that its basically just half a day of easy recovery. Let us know how it went :-)

I'm 20/15 in both eyes. Just had a followup exam today. Went to the DMV to have my glasses restriction taken off my license.
The thing about LASIK is it smells like burning hair when the laser is burning your cornea. When they were cutting the flap at first, there was this suction device that was somewhat uncomfortable. It made the eye unmovable for about 20 seconds or so while they were cutting the flap. I didn't feel any of it because they used lots of numbing eye drops.
The 2-5 hours after I took a nap so I wouldn't feel the stinging from the healing as the numbing drops wore off.

Now I just have to use eyedrops every hour, and an anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory drops 4 times a day for the rest of the week.

I got a new portable air conditioning unit that I'm happy about. Our other one went out, and it was 95 today. A friend helped install it. So I'm grateful for that. It's still working to cool down the room. A lot of heat in here.

Sounds like the operation was a little scary!!

20/15 is better than normal vision - very symbolic - I like it!

Glad to hear it all went well my friend Smile

The Air Conditioner is not big enough to cool down this room. But it is better than it would be without it. I have a fan in front of the portable A/C unit to distribute the cool air a lot better. It's been running nonstop for about a day and a half so far. I may turn it off on nights when it's cooler. Our old window A/C unit started putting out black mold and Frigidaire told us to call the health dept, and they'd have to come out and rip out the carpets, replace my bed, and everything. We're going to do that ourselves since it would probably cost thousands to have them do it. When it's cool enough we'll tear out our carpet. So that's an unfortunate thing that we have to do.

But I'm very pleased with my new eyesight. I can read other cars license plates when I'm driving and read the digital clock from across the room. Yes, the 20/15 line was very sharp. It wasn't just fuzzy and I was able to read it. It was razor sharp lettering.

They showed me a 20/10 line, but that was too small to read. I got 2 of those letters right on the 20/10 line. But we don't have to be able to read it.

There is a common saying in German that goes:

"Wie man in den Wald hineinruft, so schallt es heraus." (Exactly the way you shout into the forest is the way it shall echo back)

    This translates roughly to:

    "What goes around, comes around."

Here is an interesting story from yahoo.com that shows fourth density positive response to a negative intruder. I thought it was good news to share.

    Great story!

However, I can't see anything to indicate the burglar was negative. Most burglars I've met (I've met close to a hundred) are just sleeping.

I think it's telling that Ra said that Hitler was not an individual desiring to polarize negatively. I believe it's highly probable that significant numbers of inhumane acts we see are done by those who yet to truly make the choice of polarization.

And sometimes a confused positive-polarizing being can commit a horrific act. The act might not be positively polarizing, but they are nonetheless polarizing positive for the most part. One may be awakened but still sleep at times.

"I wanted to know what it felt like to find my center, my peace, in the midst of chaos. So I wandered into the very center of New York City’s Times Square, where a crowd of people were nose to nose and moving at the pace of distraction and sensory overload. I sat down. And began to meditate. Eventually I was alone, in a large, empty space. People just cleared away. Eventually, a crowd of had formed from the direction of the video camera, which was filming my little test with myself and Spirit. The woman in the far right of this frame is running into the space to get her photo taken behind me. Some people stared, some people giggled, some people asked, “Are you praying? What are you doing?” And I only know this from watching the film. Because I did it. I found my peace. I was safe, and I was unaffected by what was happening around me. It is achievable, at all times, anywhere. It penetrates all things and it cannot be removed from your soul. It is beckoning you always. Thank you for letting me share this image with you. It was a transformational moment in my life, letting go of all inhibitions, fears of what would happen to me, or of being ridiculed… it just didn’t matter. All that mattered was the peace and love I felt. And somehow, souls recognize souls that order peace. Even if they don’t understand or remember it for what it is. One Love to you…. Ana."

Very true my friend! It's acceptable for anyone to do confused things. We all make mistakes! And that's completely ok!!

No mistakes. Only lessons. To feel as if something was a mistake denotes shame in whatever circumstance occurred. This will lead to guilt thus reinforcing the idea that what was done was "bad" when "bad" is just a societal bias based on morality. Once one begins to see it as simply a misstep, one can begin to tell themselves "whoops, let's try that again". Once one can recognize the misstep, embrace it, then learn from it, one can begin to progres rather than dwelling upon this supposed "mistake".

This illustrates why it's both so difficult and so important to flesh out these things to get to the core concepts. For me, mistakes does not imply any shame or anything bad - I grew up in a environment where mistakes were ok and acceptable (tho also raised to believe very few things were mistakes lol). But I can totally understand why mistake could have a different connotation. Ra I think like to say I believe surprises no mistakes. Or we can say missteps.

The key is seeing our actions without self-judgement / condemnation and without the terms good and bad - that's the core. Or that's how I put it, but the concept is 100% same I believe as to tho be you are sharing and it is very important!

The Daily Telegraph (U.K.) has a story about children (mostly in the U.S.) who remember their immediate past lives, and about the documentation and study of those memories, by Dr. Jim Tucker of the University of Virginia.
