Not at all. I just work on accepting everything as is. This work does not require control, it requires releasing control.

That could simply be because you have expectations.

But I'm not in your shoes. So what do I know? Smile

Deleted my earlier comment as it was not for me to make those statements.

If one has a mental illness like depression do they accept it as it is to polarize towards STO? Would seeking treatment be control? One successful form of treatment is called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and its all about controlling the mind, no acceptance involved. If someone's natural tendency is to be unempathetic, and empathy is key to STO, then would accepting that lack of empathy rather than trying to change it be STO or STS polarizing?

If we don't even know if our actions or intentions are truly STO or STS it may at times be better to do something you believe to be STS because at least it will polarize you in a direction, in some situations acceptance just leads to stagnation in polarity or harm to yourself. When I do something I believe is STS I feel a surge of confidence which can overcome even my strongest pains, where as blind acceptance causes me to feel hopeless.

td23, your post got me thinking strongly on what Ra termed as "the great polarization implicit in the contrast between freedom and control" (from 65.7)

I think elements of the following quote speak directly to the situation that you are referring to --

Quote:65.7 Questioner: How would conventional warfare offer the opportunities for seeking and service?

Ra: I am Ra. The possibility/probabilities exist for situations in which great portions of your continent and the globe in general might be involved in the type of warfare which you might liken to guerrilla warfare. The ideal of freedom from the so-called invading force of either the controlled fascism or the equally controlled social common ownership of all things would stimulate great quantities of contemplation upon the great polarization implicit in the contrast between freedom and control. In this scenario which is being considered at this time/space nexus the idea of obliterating valuable sites and personnel would not be considered an useful one. Other weapons would be used which do not destroy as your nuclear arms would. In this on-going struggle the light of freedom would burn within the mind/body/spirit complexes capable of such polarization. Lacking the opportunity for overt expression of the love of freedom, the seeking for inner knowledge would take root aided by those of the Brothers and Sisters of Sorrow which remember their calling upon this sphere.

I am a big fan of many of Michael Jackson's albums!

We only got each other to care for. May be that is why Ra kept saying your planet, your peoples, your planetary thought-forms (a bit of paraphrasing there), etc.
