Earth Hour 2015:

A global event on March 28th this year.

Tonight is the night, friends! We are going to celebrate Earth Hour in company with my daughter's good friend, who just arrived. They will be playing for a bit now, and I will be preparing for the night. We are going to have chips, pop corn, candy, ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and many other good stuff on the table in our living room. At 8:30 PM we are going to switch off all electricity here, and light many candles. Then we are going to eat all the good stuff, talk and I will probably tell the kids good stories, fairytales, and legends. It's about 3,5 hours left here!

Tomorrow is the Earth Hour, between 20:30 and 21:30 local time!



My daughter and I will be having snacks and candy on our table, switching off completely everything and just enjoying each other's company for at least one hour, probably more!

Hello friends and family,

Here we go again! Earth Hour is only one week away, on Saturday March 25 this year. And it is 08:30 PM local time.

My daughter and I usually invite some of our friends over to celebrate this event, but this year she wanted it to be only us, and so shall be. As usual we are going to have lots of goodies on our table, lit many candles and turn off the main switch at 08:30 PM. Then we tell stories and talk for more than one hour. The highlight for my daughter are visits to the bathroom, because then I go with her and hold a candle. And so shall be too!

Tonight at 08:30 PM it is time again for Earth Hour. Many of you might already sit home in quarantine due to this pandemic, so this might be something new or something else for you to do. To turn off all the electricity or at least the lights, turn off your phones and light the candles only. My daughter and I haven't missed this day since many years ago. We usually bring all the goodies to the table, like strawberries, whiped cream, ice cream, candy etc. and eat and drink, talk and play games like Trivial Pursuit etc. It has this far been a very cozy night for us which brings us closer together.
