This reminds me of a story told by a friend. She had participated in a group who would meet regularly to discuss all kinds of subjects, with some psychic / philosophical / spiritual questions and one time they decided to meet the following time each bringing an object that they had found.
They sat around and each person took an object from the pile trying to see if any vibration, any sort of thoughts would come to the person holding the object, not trying to find a message but just experiencing if anything was happening.
At one point one person chose a cup made of porcelain, white and navy blue, sightly asian in style, slightly chipped and with a crack from the bottom to the side.
The person after a while, started to say, " I am a cup I was thrown away I am in sorrow " There was a silence, then someone from the group said " I saw that cup in a garbage can near my home and decided to bring it." And then, someone in the group broke up, shaken, and said it's me ! It belonged to me, it had that small chip and I decided to throw it away.
I remember listening to my friend recounting the story, so when I started to read this thread I immediately remembered that story
