this is a tv show that I just started watching yesterday. It's one of those cable tv shows that shows high production value, and a unified vision from the creator that maps out a full seven seasons of story arc.
I dropped in on season 5 episode 3 and got hooked. Now I am watching the episodes in reverse order, so I know what has happened, and it progressively shows me why it happened. It's an interesting experience.
it centers around a motorcycle gang caught in a circle of retributive violence. There are strong powerful personalities at the top of the food chain, and they have strong loves for their families and klan. When they are attacked there is a need for a violent response.
there is intrigue and secrets; and when information is selectively revealed, people get all angry and go on a rampage.
the police represent one force in this dynamic; rival gangs another; and the CIA/FBI another that is trying to push their own agenda.
it captures really well the muddied interactions of 3d life; and if one takes the guns and mobile phones out of the picture, one can easily see how the first two 25000 year cycles on this planet may have played out; tribes warring against other tribes, people protecting their own, and individuals not being able to transcend their attachment to yellow ray identity (tribalism) to move into the green ray of universal love.
Ron Perlman is the absolute sh*t btw. Such an intrigiing voice and face. Love his work.
peace all
