Carla has described her own spiritual background. As a child she perceived meeting Jesus. Throughout her life she's been a mystical Christian. If I understand her right, she sees this as honoring, appreciating and celebrating the unconditional love of Jesus, without getting bogged down in the doctrines of historical Christian traditions.
