Have been thinking of humility lately. I am impressed with Ra's frequently repeated descriptor "humble messenger of the Law of One". They who have come so far in their spiritual evolution, still value and identify with humility.

I realize , myself, that after so much seeking, experiences, study, prayer meditation...what do I really know? Have I progressed at all? Am I arrogantly attached to "progress"? Do I measure progress by the world's standards or is there something else? Is it arrogant to measure, compare, "spiritual growth"? These are questions that I have. Coming from an attitude of seeking that I desired progress, growth and healing, I realize that I am the same. I am me.

I would like to cultivate true humility, not a humility based on unworthiness, but a humility that regards the awesomeness of the Creator.

I looked up "humble", and found these quotes related to what I feel intuitively:

    Quote:

62.23 Ra: I am Ra. This is correct. Nearly all positive channels and groups may be lessened in their positivity or rendered quite useless by what we may call the temptations offered by the fourth-density negative thought-forms. They may suggest many distortions towards specific information, towards the aggrandizement of the self, towards the flowering of the organization in some political, social, or fiscal way.

These distortions remove the focus from the One Infinite Source of love and light of which we are all messengers, humble and knowing that we, of ourselves, are but the tiniest portion of the Creator, a small part of a magnificent entirety of infinite intelligence.

Quote:74.11 Questioner: What I am trying to get at is how these disciplines affect the energy centers and the power of the white magician. Will you tell me how that works?

Ra: I am Ra. The heart of the discipline of the personality is threefold. One, know yourself. Two, accept yourself. Three, become the Creator.

The third step is that step which, when accomplished, renders one the most humble servant of all, transparent in personality and completely able to know and accept other-selves. In relation to the pursuit of the magical working the continuing discipline of the personality involves the adept in knowing itself, accepting itself, and thus clearing the path towards the great indigo gateway to the Creator. To become the Creator is to become all that there is. There is then no personality in the sense with which the adept begins its learn/teaching. As the consciousness of the indigo ray becomes more crystalline, more work may be done; more may be expressed from intelligent infinity.

It seems a juxtaposition to say on the one hand the most humble servant of all is one who has "become" the Creator. "To become the Creator is to become all there is."

We think of the Creator as Great and Powerful, omniscient, omnipotent.....and yet Ra tells us that to become this is most humble. I have had it wrong for awhile I think.

It leads me to the question, what is Power? What is the Creator's power...that is what I have not understood.
