I was just reading last night that the archetypes themselves might be considered the learning of a previous octave (well,it was in different terminology in the Cosmic Doctrine--pages 60-64 if anyone is interested.)
And further that the achievements of previous octaves are impressed on the new ones in the form of archetypes.
I REALLY like it when my favorite books agree...
