If I start feeling "bad" or negative or feel depressed, I (almost) always try to suss-out the reason. If I am feeling bad for no apparent reason, I will throw up a mental "ward" around myself, or the house I'm in (typically the house). The technique for this is my own entirely: I believe that the actual act of what you do to try to protect yourself from psychic attack is what matters, and not some specific ritual. I just put a lot of concentration into it (for a brief moment as I don't want to spend all my time doing this) and visualize myself infusing the whole house with green energy which is permeable to positive entities and impenetrable for negative entities.
