POLL: The Use of Protection Rituals

I use the banishing ritual of the lesser pentagram every time I do metaphysical work. The purpose is not specifically for protection. Rather, it is for focus and the creation of a proper space for the work to be done. From one perspective, this can be viewed as protection, but from another perspective, protection is only a by-product. The only time I've ever worried about psychic attack is while using entheogens. And I no longer use entheogens.
