Excellent topic for a thread, by the way.
Of late, I've found myself drifting back towards a Mahayana Buddhist discipline. This point of view likewise focuses on silence and the discipline of consciousness. Beyond that, though, one takes vows to offer oneself as an instrument for the awakening of all. This stuff is taken very seriously. As I read the Ra Material, the more focus one applies in this direction, the more crystalline one's energies become and the more effectively one can do "work in consciousness."
So, returning to the thread topic, I guess I look at it this way: What responsibilities does the wanderer have in her peregrinations? It's an individual choice, I suppose--and it relates to how one communes with the Law of Responsibility. Maybe it's like the way Ra describes choice of polarity: the choice is usually made unconsciously and one slowly realizes over time what it was. Maybe the level of responsibility one chose becomes clear over time...if one has the eyes to see and the ears to hear?
Personally, I know that my energy field, were it better disciplined, could be doing much more to further the enlightenment of all beings and I feel a responsibility to make it so.
