Sure it can be counterproductive, as identifying itself as a Wanderer can be counterproductive, which is what Austin was trying to say among other things, I guess. And of course it doesn't matter, it just explains some stuff, as a description of a Wanderer perhaps explained stuff for many of us. What matters more though, imho, are the lessons we came here to learn.
