I don't get it. The planets have been visible in this way for almost ten years. Back then I wondered what it was because it was like a spotlight in the sky.

Venus rose a while back and was just as visible. Does anyone wonder why the planets are so bright compared to what they were growing up? Is it just the sun putting out more energy?
